I'd only just realised there was a finale I hadn't seen. The third series was all over the shop which was a shame as I really love the first two. It felt like they had maybe enough content and stray ideas for 10 minutes per episode, but they either had scheduling problems or ran out of steam with it as there was so much filler. Huge song length montages or dance sequences that were jolly enough but didn't move anything along and just marked time really. It had a much defter touch with cultural context previously too as this was wading about in some pretty clunky territory near the end. I think bringing the background to the foreground changed the point of the show and we didn't get a satisfying end to their personal stories which is a pity.

 

It's still a really lovely programme filled with great characters though.
