The first game at the time was a real unexpected gem, not because I didn't have faith in Respawn following the incredible Titanfall 2 but but because getting excited about anything Star Wars at that time (especially a game) was pointless. Visually and technically the first game still holds up really well so I've no concerns over that. I just hope they have expanded on the gameplay enough to sit alongside the likes of Sekiro and most recently Wo Long in terms of the core defending and parry mechanics. It was decent in Fallen Order but I want to see absolutely nailed here, especially for boss encounters. Story wise is this being positioned as canon alongside the movies and TV shows, where we are to accept Cal is doing his thing alongside people like Ezra, Ashoka and the Bad Batch? Anyway its day one for me. My son absolutely loves the first game and has spent more time in easy mode NG+ than any other game outside of Minecraft so it will be a real joy playing this with him and it all being new for the both of us. The combo finishing moves look pretty sweet.
