Its just a rehash of the portable one that came out on PSP isn't it? That's where the portable comes from.

3 Portable was a stripped down version for the PSP though, wasn't it?

Portable replaces the locations with a visual novel style map.

Yes. Outside of the dungeons it plays more like a visual novel and most of the animated sequences were removed to it would fit on a UMD.
