Some of the Wrexham players are on 10k a week. We tried to sign Mullin when we went up to League 1 and Wrexham offered him more money. They also have a very expensive manager.

They're not a normal non-League team.

Mullin deserves to be on 20k a week. At least.

I don't know what it looked like on the TV, but I promise you Wrexham were pretty magnificent today. The game increasingly had the feel of when we came back from 1-0 down to to knock out Middlesbrough in the late 90s, partly by putting 3 men on Juninho, but mostly by simply being the better side. You could see those goals coming,  we just didn't quite get over the line this time. Now to Bramall Lane and a 5-4 away victory because why the fuck not.

Wrexham were the better side. Mullin was my MOTM. It was simple bad luck you didn't win.

Chelsea reported to have bid £105 million for Enzo Fernandez which, alongside the FFP issues, would mean they were paying 10 times as much as what Benfica brought him for at the start of THIS season!

Haven't you heard? They are changing the FFP rules to stop this sort of thing in the future. Just after the nick of time.

That equaliser yesterday now feeling even more annoying.

Son’s a massive Welcome to Wrexham fan apparently.  Surely Sheffield United won’t be cruel enough to deny a lad the chance to play against his heroes.

This looks like a great signing for Leeds. He was excellent at the world cup alongside Adams. Bossed the England midfield.

This is great IMO. He was one of the better players for the US during the World Cup.

Throwing money at the wall and hoping some of it sticks has proved to be successful for twenty years I guess.

Jorginho is a good signing from an Arsenal point of view, especially at that price.  They aren’t going to build a team around him like Napoli did but he’s a superb footballer and they’ll need him in the squad, especially with Champions League football next season.

Trying to buy Fernandez for £110m+, selling Jorginho to Arsenal for £12m.

Hear me out here, but I'm not entirely sure that Chelsea know what they are doing.

They seem to have gone full Football Manager with a money cheat on, but they can't buy ANYONE they want so they are just searching for anyone good who is 'interested' then offering all the money regardless if they have any idea where they will play.

Yeah anyone who has played FM will have done this. There's nothing exciting about buying defenders - let's just buy all the forwards!

I realise these stats are cherry picked but they do look promising for Arsenal. I guess Caicedo isn't the finished article but the Caicedo they'd get for the rest of this season wouldn't have been, either.

Oh man, this is a bit embarrassing. I was out for a walk earlier, a car pulled up alongside me and an American guy called me over from the passenger seat. We had a brief conversation, and to cut a long story short, I'm due to be unveiled as a new signing for Chelsea at five past nine tonight. It was tricky to fit me in, because they're unveiling Lewis Dunk at nine, and a woman who was walking her dog further down the street from me at ten past.

Everton not succeeding in signing anyone when a) all their relegation rivals are (including Southampton and Bournemouth) and b) have 45 million to spend after Gordon went is mildly amusing.  I hope Dyche has a bonus for avoiding relegation in his contract.

As mentioned before I’m very intrigued by how he’ll do. His win percentage at Burnley was 28%, which with 18 games remaining he’ll need to boost somewhat and fast (28% = 5 wins, 15 points, plus any draws)

Everton need 25 points to reach the 40 points mark that usually signifies safety. That’d mean winning almost half their remaining games, or those 5-7 wins and a handful of draws.

Should be a great atmosphere at Goodison on Saturday, and a good test of Arsenal’s title credentials, given now most pundits are tipping them to get over the line after the recent wins against Spurs and Man United. Expectation brings a different kind of pressure, so will be interesting watching how they handle things from here on in.

It’s usually around 35.

Yeah looks like 2011 was the last time 40 points was needed for safety. That weird closed-doors season only needed 29 to stay up. 29?! I’ve got 29 points and I’m not even a football club.

Alright 😫

Good news is we’ve signed a giant striker from the Danish league as our one and only signing during the window who they appear to be trying to offload.

But as we’ve only scored 21 goals in the league all season and 1 since Christmas then he can’t be any worse that what we have!

Spurs had to cancel Doherty’s contract instead of letting going out on loan because they didn’t realise they’d hit the maximum of eight international loans allowed by FIFA.

Enzo Fernandez has gone from a £10m signing in the summer to £106m in January and his previous club River Plate get 25% due to a sell on clause, I bet they can’t believe their luck.

Quite happy with Leicester's business in this window. New fullback, CB and a much-needed winger.

However, we have let Marc Albrighton go out on loan to West From. He might be like an Aldi James Milner but bit gutted he's gone. Grafted in every single game he ever played for us, was a member of the title-winning team, was one of the best crossers in the league and was a lovely guy too.

Actually think Everton have more than enough quality to stay up (especially under Dyche) but this transfer window has been pretty appalling for them.

Also, this list of most expensive signings might have Chelsea fans a bit concerned; there's an awful lot of wasted money there - only Van Dijk could be seen as an outstanding success.

I do feel bad for Ziyech, but I would say if he could play for Chelsea like he does for Morocco he would be getting all the playing time he wanted. It's so frustrating watching him in a Chelsea shirt knowing what he's capable of.
