Damn. We’ve been rumbled.

It is funny to see Burnley mentioned in the context of wanting Man City's Champions League spot, but Guardiola is referring specifically to the nine teams who wrote to the Court of Arbitration for Sport a couple of years ago when Man City were banned from the Champions League.

The ban was overturned, but despite what City fans (if you can find any) will tell you, their name wasn't cleared. The CAS simply said that UEFA hadn't sufficiently proven their case, and reduced City's punishment to a fine for obstructing and refusing to cooperate with the investigation. Of course, this obstruction is the reason why UEFA apparently didn't have enough evidence. It was a dark day for sporting justice. The same will likely happen again here. They're too good at knowing how to wriggle out of charges. They'll use loopholes and tenuous technicalities, and hide and destroy the more damning evidence. They'll get away with it again. Then Guardiola will most likely demand another apology.

Palace's 5th choice centre half playing, based in his last performance I reckon I'm faster (as a 43 year old chubby git who never exercises), fucks sake...

He's fucking scored!

I think Spurs will be glad they took Pedro Porro on loan judging by his debut, he was absolutely appalling. (Disclaimer: Many cracking players had shaky debuts.)

I'd be worried of a Top 4 place as a Spurs fan, they were easily the worst team we've played at the KP this year. Nothing like the team that beat us 6-2 earlier in the season.

I'm glad we've started to have some decent results; it's a huge surprise that things improve when you're able to sign a few players and your huge injury list dissipates.

Half the side that beat you early doors were not on the pitch, we dont have much of a hope of top 4 with the team put out today but thats the weakest side we have played in a while - you have to feel sorry for Porro being thrust into that team today.

Nathan Jones sacked.

That's a real shame. Not in any footballing sense, but because he gave the most entertainingly batshit interviews we've seen in the Premier League in years. Whether claiming he was one of the best managers in Europe on the basis of Luton's xG, or rambling about Welsh women, he always said something stupid. Even in such a crowded field of oddballs and intense maniacs as the current crop of Premier League managers, he stood out.

VAR and the officials having a nightmare yesterday in the Premier League.

All VAR seems to have done is mean there are more officials who can make mistakes/miss things during a game except some of them are hidden away in a room.  Plus, the VAR rules can seemingly change or be tweaked throughout the season so there isn't even consistency of what they SHOULD be checking for.

Changing the rules mid season has seemingly been going on for ages. Remember when they tried giving penalties for holding at corners? That lasted about one game. Then there was the moving the free kick closer if they moaned - or did I imagine this?

They make things far too complicated.

That was a thing. I don't know specifically why it stopped. The theory seemed sound so I can only assume either it didn't work, or it worked too well. Can't have the powers that be getting things right.

The only article I can find is this one.

Man City fans unfurling a banner showing support for… their lawyer.

We all know they’ll get off relatively easy, but this alone should be enough to relegate the knobs.

As bad as that is its a bit much given your clubs form for supporting wronguns with banners and tee shirts 😂

Here comes WhatAbout-Man! Mate they’re supporting a fucking lawyer who’s getting them off cheating the system. It’s really fucking weird.

You support Spurs and you have ginger hair, and for that I’m fucking sorry. But sometimes it’s about laughing at Man City as a group. Let’s stop fighting, this thread can be just one big melting pot x
