VAR having a mare in its first big game in Scotland. They didn't even review this for more than five seconds, nothing given.

I don't think that is a penalty, personally.  His arm isn't in an unnatural position, and I don't think he makes any movement of his arm towards the ball.  He's trying to get his hand out of the way of the ball, but it's kicked at him from such close range he doesn't have a chance.  What's happened there basically is that the Celtic player has deliberately chipped it at his arm specifically to win a penalty.  A good bit of skill to do that, in a way, but you don't get a penalty for it.  Last season (or was it the season before, time has no meaning anymore) when they were giving penalties for any contact with the arm you'd have had a penalty for that, but the wording of the law changed specifically to address situations like this one.  Some Celtic fan typing "stonewall" in all caps doesn't make it true.

Well some of us don’t want to say too much in case we’re embarrassed in this evenings game.

Be confident. Lord it over these 1980s football fans who support Liverpool because they won everything in the 80s when they were at Primary School. There isn't another reason they support them.

They all like Hulk Hogan too.

Not sure if to ask in here or ATF…

What app are you guys running for scores? I have used OneFootball for years as it has decent notifications to phone and Apple Watch but these days its 90% adverts unless you spend 99p / month to get rid of them…

Any better apps you lot use?

Not sure if it’s the best but I’ve used Sofascore for a few years, I’m happy with it.

Only small issue I have is that you sometimes need to close the app for it to refresh the fixture list for the day.

They’ve just changed their logo and got Modric involved for marketing so not sure if they’ve recently been bought.

@neoELITE genuine question - don't you find us United fans as annoying as the Liverpool fans? We're every bit as numerous and obnoxious as them, aren't we? :(

Absolutely not.

I enjoyed that 90s,2000s team.

I just hate those bullies in my school who laughed at me wearing an Argyle shirt in football training when I was 10.

Liverpool fans in Plymouth. It's a long old poke.

Lol old man, I wasn't even born for most of the 80s.

LiveScore, but the app has been on a delay today (Brighton have just scored at Man City, apparently)

Also they’ve ramped up betting pop-ups recently. The odds can be turned off at least but appreciate not everyone wants those things present.

I'd imagine most of the United fans here are from nowhere near Manchester either. I'm sure Plymouth like everywhere is full off United fans from those Fergie years too.

Weird thing to hate one set of fans for but give another a free pass.

Is it OK for a mod to call members cunts?

I don't mind. I don't want this idiot banned. It's your decision but stop being silly. Can you not take a bit of banter?

'Banter' is what we do with most of the United thread.

Ask them the way I take it. @spork, @feltmonkey, @Gabzy. @MikeBeaver

you though are a nasty pathetic little boy

Hey! Who remembers when the whole ball had to cross the line to count as a goal?

How much of the ball is over the line has never been a concern where Man Utd are concerned…..

(I actually cheered the Man U goal today, perfect result)
