Big news for Wrexham, we're no longer the only club shackled by the transfer window in the conference because we're from Wales. Something I might have moaned about in the past :)

Like every other non league club, we're now free to sign players whenever we want up until March

Reckon we should now sue the conference for 14 years of discrimination.

Wrexham were the better side today, but a bit predictable against a big stubborn Eastleigh team who treated us to an astonishing level of time wasting tricks from the very first minute. 1-0 down to a soft goal, but then bloody hell Elliot Lee! Came on for the last half an hour, ball glued to his foot, creating chances, travelling passed players with ease, and scoring 2 goals. Ridiculous debut. Up there with the very best I've seen.

2-1

Thumping 4-0 win for Exeter today against fellow promoted team, Port Vale.

Great to have 4 points on the board already in League One, although it was from games against 2 teams that we should be targeting for those survival points.

A great start.

Just watched the video of our game yesterday. Appalling defending for both of the Fleetwood goals. We're very attack minded but you have got to defend basic crosses and leaving players one on one with two minutes to go is unforgivable. I have no idea what our right wing back and captain was doing on the left wing when Fleetwood scored their late winner.

@Fatsam Elliot Lee in the National League is basically cheating. He's a top League 1 player. How's Luke Young doing?

Oh yeah you can instantly see he's a class act and as with Mullin clearly playing way below the level he should be at. He's not even fully fit yet. Should flourish in that creative attacking mid role behind Palmer and Mullin who both assisted well for him for his two goals. I think he'll complement them perfectly.

Luke Young on the other hand might not be a league one level footballer, but I think functions mostly fine in a deep midfield role he tends to play in these days. Although probably an area that we could upgrade to be honest, and probably not his best position. He was back to back player of the season in a more advanced midfield role under Keates. I think the assumption is that he might ultimately find himself benched with O'Connor playing that deeper role when all players are fit, but then it's also clear that Parkinson really likes him. He wears the captain's armband, sets the tone, and works his socks off every game.

Fuck a duck, that was a sweaty game to watch. Ridiculously hot today in the stadium. Polyester replica shirts and intense heat aren't a good mix.

We beat the Peterborough Yo-Yos 2-0 and thoroughly deserved it. Our midfield were immense and the work rate was incredible given how hot it was.

Peterborough made four changes at half time when they were 1-0 down. Utterly backfired as they just looked disjointed immediately.

It's great to beat them.

1-1 away at Yeovil.

Someone has  started a "How long Parky?"thread on  our message board.

Sounds like we were sporadically good, but weren't amazing, with new players still finding their feet, which is understandable, and it was about a billion degrees, and we did concede to a fantastic long distance goal.

It is a huge one against Chesterfield on Tuesday though.  Even at this early stage. At least a six pointer.  We usually play very well against the better teams, but Chesterfield sound like they have made some astute signings and goal machine Tshimanga up front for them is just getting back to fitness.

My brother said Ipswich could concentrate on the League after losing to Colchester in whichever Cup competition it was in last week.

Turns out that means going top after beating MK Dons 3-0. Looks like a long season for the Dons and another inconsistent one for Ipswich.

Really bad first half on Saturday against fellow relegationees Doncaster. We couldn't pass out from the back or hit it long with any joy. Was grateful it was 0-0 at half time.

Second half was pretty good, except for the final 5 minutes letting a 2-0 lead slip. Painful!

Saw lots of the "reclaim the 90's" navy away kit around the ground. I wonder if it is a tester and we might go dark for the home kit next time as it has been so popular.

Streaming midweek away games often ends like this. 1-0 down away at Charlton and then a penalty and red card for handball. 2-0 and it's game over in the first half. Ended up being humped 5-1. Our goal was a worldie to make it 3-1 but alas, we're shit away from home. Always have been apart from a freak season where we topped 100 points.

@Fatsam you're 15th. With that investment. Good grief, that Wrexham manager must be a bit worried.

@El Pibe well done on beating the evil that is Wycombe.

I would think so. I was looking to tonight for a proper indication of how good we were, for us to step up against the best opposition, and by the sound of it we put in a fucking dreadful performance. And there's tangible management decisions you can look at that possibly didn't help us. Question marks over one or two recruitment decisions. Although Chesterfield also sounded completely brilliant.

So yeah, he'll be worried yes. We've assembled the most expensive squad in non league history and, while we've have had flashes  of good, have been mostly unconvincing or shit so far this season!

He'll also know that we're perfectly capable of winning a few games in row for the pressure to ease though. We do have Maidstone at home on Saturday who everyone's confident we'll beat.

Spoiler

Oh dear...

0-3 away win at Forest Green Rovers yesterday after being stuffed 5-1 in midweek was needed. We've actually got a squad this season and made changes.

Bolton at home on Saturday looks a tough one but we're at the right end of the table.

I believe it's not that far from Dorking. I know this because I confess I had to look up where Dorking was recently and was like "oh so that's where Crawley is!"

Whatever they are, they want to take Crawley to the Premier League.

Wrexham in the Premier League might just feel a little less daft when there are top flight fixtures against Salford and Crawley.

Crawley's a bit like Peterborough. Nobody actually knows where it is.

It's not far from Cambridge. Got one of the coldest ice rinks in the country. Proper dank. (Peterborough)

We like Crawley they gave the kids Easter eggs last time we watched them play, back when Harry Kewell was the coach.

By the way @neoELITEmy partner wants to know if the local kids still call them the Penis And Fanny Club?

She remembers that back in the 80s when her dad was stationed there in his navy days
