Think 4-2 was a bit flattering for Argyle, but can't complain too much.

I thought we'd get battered, so was nice to see us actually make a decent game of it.

Lovely to see Jay Stansfield in the groove now. 🥰

The weather really spoilt the game. The wind was swirling around the stadium. It didn't suit two teams who play on the floor.

Our second goal from Mumba was an absolute rocket and Hardie's first (our third) was really well worked.

That was an entertaining game and it was really loud. A great atmosphere.

The first half was awful from us. We seem to be unstoppable in the last 30 minutes of games.

Losing 4-1 away at Grimsby in the FA Cup and we've had two injuries. One to our most influential centre half. That'll cause us massive issues if he's out for a while.

I don't like the FA Cup today.

I have no idea how we're currently walking League 1 and then we do this. I can't remember the last time I was sat here at half time and felt resigned to a defeat.

Torquay. Wow. What a second half. I thought Derby were abysmal. They could have kept the ball. Instead, they tried wasting time. Idiots. They brought Hourihane on and I expected him to control the game. I think he touched it twice.

Derby were awful.

The weather down here is horrific. Maybe that helped.

Wrexham are playing well @Fatsam

Mickey Thomas at half time sounds like Bob Mortimer doing a comedy voice.

Oldham manager David Unsworth is massive. I'm talking the size of Neil Ruddock.

Yeah we were great.  I'd say that was pretty typical of the way we've been playing at home. The money we've splashed on our squad translating into stuff on the pitch. Tunnicliffe coming in at left centre back recently has helped solidify us at the back a bit more too. An incredibly comfortable win really, but then Oldham are struggling this season.

2nd round draw live from Wrexham tomorrow. This is the first time we've been at this stage in quite some time.  I did have a feeling we might do something in the FA Cup this year. Still do.

It wasnt a second string side then? Saw the score and assumed you'd played the kids.

Great away win for Exeter at Port Vale. Hoping we get a home tie next round.

Shame Taunton couldn't pull off something special against MK Dons.

No, pretty much a first team.

We've got six out injured now. Thankfully just two league games this month.

You always seem to get good cup draws.

Ipswich avoided the giant-killing at Bracknell, rotated the squad and basically had to play for about 15 minutes to win it.

The reward? A home tie against Buxton.

I see Camara scored. Good to see him back after his injury. On his day, he's fantastic or, he can end up being subbed after 20 minutes.

@neoELITE your lot are up at Fortress Sincil Bank today. Can you break our run of being unbeaten at home all season (although 6 draws and 1 win isn’t exactly amazing)? Quite a big turn out from the away fans for such a long journey.

I'm not. I don't do away games anymore.

I actually think we'll lose today. We have a horrendous injury list at the moment and our defensive options are really limited.

We'll just have to try and outscore Lincoln today. We have three academy lads on the bench.

I would wish you good luck but I hope you have a stinkingly horrid afternoon.

Lincoln v Plymouth.

*Great* game to watch. I’d have taken a point before the game but now feel disappointed with just 1. Did enough to win it in the 2nd. Shows you the fine margins  in this league as no way a neutral would have said Plymouth were running away with it.

enjoyed it and hopefully shows we have enough to stay in the league.

My thoughts exactly. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would have snapped your arm off for a point beforehand but we definitely deserved more in the end. The fortress remains intact, but a few more wins rather than lots of draws would make things a bit more comfortable.

We have Azaz, Mayor, Miller, Scarr, Bolton and Grant all out injured. That's six players who would have played either as starters or as subs. A point, considering, is a great result.

We utterly battered Burton in the second half. We went 1-2 up deservedly and concede in the 97th minute to a head tennis goal. I'm really annoyed at that.

Our squad is knackered. We had three academy players on the bench. When January arrives, we need three players in.

Fleetwood scored a 94th minute equaliser against Ipswich, thanks to deflections off two defenders. Incredibly bad/good luck depending on your perspective.

I'd say it was good luck 🤞

We lost our first home game on Friday against Port Vale. They're incredibly physical. We were actually poor but should have scored at least two. Ennis missed two absolute sitters. Hitting one over from 5 yards with nothing in front of him. He was turning to celebrate that chance before he made contact with the ball.

Two clear handballs in the box not given and the Port Vale keeper was booked for time wasting in the first half but did it repeatedly in the second and the ref ignored it.

9/10 at home is really impressive but fans were still moaning.

We're still top.

We need a defender and a midfielder in January.

A bold new era for non league football began today as our version of iFollow launched and I got to watch Wrexham win away at Eastleigh. Indeed I could have watched all games not postponed for an introductory half price of 4.75 if I'd fancied it. A surprisingly slick experience it was too with a decent picture and some half decent local radio commentators. Impressive. Will repeat at all future available opportunity. Well done the national league for not being shit for once.

I love it. It's apparently being considered for 3pm Saturday kick offs soon. I didn't enjoy it much today. Cambridge 0 Argyle 0. It was an abysmal game.

Ohhh, for YOU it was abysmal/...... as someone who lives in Ipswich, it was sweet, sweet joy....and as the only idiot who ticked automatic promotion in the pooll this year, even more so 😛

Spoiler

Ipswich lost, we won.

Put that in spoilers just in case you didn't know.

Without knowing the score, you'd expect this to have ended 3-0 at least. 4, 5 or 6-0 wouldn't be a surprise.

2-1.

Morecambe's keeper was like a brick wall.

Top of League 1 at Xmas. I'll take that.

We did the double over Wycombe. Phew. The last 15 minutes were horrible but 3 more points.

Wycombe threw everything at us physically and usually we'd buckle and concede but not tonight. I think they'll make the play offs. They're strong all over to the pitch. A great result.

That's the last midweek game at home now.

This season we've played every day of the week. I much prefer a Saturday 3pm. I have no idea how Premier League fans put up with attending on random days.

Another surprising stat is we've accumulated 32 points from our home games. If we'd lost every away game, we'd be 2 points off the play offs but, with 53 points, we're 18 points ahead of the last play off placed team. We've averaged 2.2 points per game.

@Fatsam - rumours in Plymouth of Danny Mayor being sold to Wrexham. He'd win your league by himself. I hope they're just rumours.

There's no rumour of that at our end. What kind of player is he for you? Midfielder yeah? I'd be surprised if we signed another midfielder now. Andy Cannon only came in from from Hull 3 weeks ago who was superb for Stockport on loan at the end of last season. Just waiting for him to get match fit.
