Stunning pass from Walsh, but imagine executing a perfect chip, at a sprint, under challenge, in an international final.  Holy shit.  That's Roy of the Rovers stuff, to coin a phrase.

That’s a goal that doesn’t happen 99 times out of 100 whoever the striker is.

 

Same scenario next week in the Prem and whoever the forward is then the crowd and those watching on telly are asking why the player didn’t just calmly chip it over the goalie while the defender lunges in, but without any real belief as they know it would be really difficult to do so.

I know if I tried it it would have gone out for a throw-in.

 

It's got to be the best goal any England team have scored in a final, hasn't it?

England need to get some control back, it's all a bit kick-and-rush at the moment and that plays into Germany's hands.

 

Both teams are now in that awkward period where you don't want to run the risk of losing, but equally sitting back and hoping for ET is dangerous.
