and so it begins, I did my first run at a team referring to my note where I've scribbled down players of interest, smart tactical team pairings so you can have a lot of home players ever week etc etc.

 

sat back and looked at it and hated it, couldn't even pick a cpt for week 1.

 

now to run thru a dozen iterations meaning I have every player in the team at some point so can curse my luck when you get those first month streaky players who start on fire but I rotated out before day 1.

I've already had 40 odd players in my mock up teams. Will be messing with this for ages.

 

Note that Perisic is down as a defender so be interesting to see how often he plays and in what position. Likewise Hwang down as midfielder for Wolves now but I've been stung by him too many times before when he was down as a forward. Of course he's currently in my current drafts. 

 

Havertz and Jota classed as forwards now too so less appealing.

I've noticed Perisic is a defender this season. Seems like a mis-classification, or have I not been paying attention to Serie A? Seems like there could be some nice assists and clean sheets there.

 

Note: I've definitely not been paying attention to Serie A.

Im in again, AFC Lemmiwinks, at the moment I am leaning towards a 5-3-2 formation, no doubt that will change.

 

Usually what happens with me is I spend hours tinkering with the team pre-kickoff, only to blitz it all completely with a GW2 wildcard.

 

Have renewed the FPL 22/23 league again, everyone is welcome, a fair few forum people joined also:

Is the top one of these a Mukker league? Only played FPL last year for the first time so slowly getting to grips with it although there are often weeks when I forget to look at my team, so likely cannon fodder here..

 

Edit: Ignore me. I've just seen that the top league is called 'RLLMUK Fantasy Football'. Bloody hell, my brain turns to mush when I'm on holiday.

I’ve bench boosted and will likely wildcard after the first week but here we are:

I don’t fancy Forest to do very well at all but Johnson playing every week and being on pens mean I’ve got him in, for now. 

The Leicester keeper situation will need to be closely monitored but FOMO has occurred. And the keepers are that way around in case of red cards.

Also Rashford is garbage but with no Martial, figured he’s worth a punt and at least any misery caused by United doing well can be counterbalanced by reaping FPL rewards.

I've got shot of Ronaldo (why, oh why did I think picking him would be a good idea?!) and Maupay too as he's does exactly nowt!! But then, Maupay has just signed for Everton so who knows what will happen?!

 

Swapped for Firminho and Toney so watch them suddenly get rubbish in the weeks to come!! 😅
