Some massively vertiginous thing like Crackdown or Gravity Rush would be fun. Or nauseating. :D You probably wouldn’t be able to do a 1:1 recreation of the games, but some kind of time trial race across rooftops or hunt for agility orbs could work.

Monkey Island, Call of the Sea, Escape Room Simulator, Worms, King of Monsters.

The middle two are recent games that I'm keen to play, but am waiting on patches because they just seem made for VR.

Also basically any First Person Puzzler that won't make me vomit.

Out of existing series, I'd probably only want slower experiences, like Zero Escape, Danganronpa. I'd dig a mod for The Coin Game, but a single person is working on that game in its entirety.

The last time I tried VR in an existing game was in Assetto Corsa and BallisticNG, and both gave me heavy motion sickness. I think I'd prefer new franchises/spin-offs from established studios unless they go super heavy on the accessibility functions.

The Zero Escape puzzles could be fun in VR, in that Statik or Keep Talking… way. :) And going from place to place could always be automated, with the plot moving you along.

The Room VR is a pretty good escape room type game, as is, to a lesser extent. I expect you to die.

The Room is absolutely one of the best ones, and you'd hope that a sequel is due any time now.

Other interesting ones include Red Matter, Floor Plan 2, Extreme Escape, I Expect You To Die 2, Time Stall just about fits. There are more on PCVR, but many are very janky.

Namco.  Please make VR versions of Ridge Racer, Prop Cycle, Time Crisis and Point Blank.

Over to you .....

That'll do it along with OutRun 2 and I'll be a happy boy.

Ace Combat 4/5/Zero remakes entirely in VR. Should be no sweat for the technology if they were just willing to do it.

edit - just for the irony I’ll also add Tempest 4000, since they already made it but the publishers squashed the whole VR thing.

its possible to get these working in VR now by emulation in VR - EmuVR

my wish list would be:

Forza Horizon 5

Power wash simulator

Alien Isolation (an official version with motion controls)

Sony VR exclusives ported to PCVR

Oh absolutely not what I had in mind.

We're talking 360 degree, fully immersive Point Blank stages. Similarly, Time Crisis that you can play like Crisis VRigade, leaping behind cover and laying on the floor shooting over barriers.

Playing the arcade machines in 2D is cool, but massively underexplores the potential.

I suppose by it's very nature this topic is going to be a nostalgia fest as it's naturally a lot easier to say I want franchise X in VR than it is to write up whats practically a pitch for your 100% original idea.

So with that in mind, I'd like to see Black & White brought back as a VR game.

The original control scheme was based around the idea of replicating hand gestures through a mouse so it should translate well to VR controllers.

I think the concept would work well in VR as it was always a game where zooming in and out of the world mattered. Being able to go down the villagers level and seeing your beast towering over them could be very cool.

Deisim on quest is very good and reminds me a lot of black &white.

For me I would love a proper Star Wars vr mmo game in the style of Star Wars galaxies  meets no man sky it would be a case of just take my money!!

Tetris could work really well as a properly 3D game where you're stood in a room of, say, 20x20 cells, and the tetrominos are falling down at you from above & you have to frantically lay them out like floor tiles before you get completely swamped and effectively drown in them. I'd quite like to see that sort of re-working of it, although I imagine it'd probably be an intensely panic-inducing experience..

I'll bite with a new game idea, though this would easily work in 2D mode too:

Cropduster

You start off as a simple farm pilot, dusting crops. Think Pilotwings, but different. As the game goes on, forest fires occur, so you gravitate to combating those (potentially spectacular in VR), but then it's discovered the forest fires aren't natural disasters, aliens have actually been starting them as the first phase of a terraforming initiative. Next thing you know you're in a dogfight with no way of actually fighting back. You escape, and enlist in the military to fight back against the aliens. After several missions, you're aboard the world's first space carrier (using alien tech obtained in a previous mission, obvs) to launch an offensive on their space station orbiting Saturn.

I'd love to be able to play The Witness on my Oculus.

I've recently been playing it on my Xbox and the sense of being in a place all of its own was marvellous, even just on a big flat screen with pin sharp and colourful environments was so good.

The pc version can be played in vr couple steps needed to make it run.

I would also highly recommend the firewatch vr mod that is out

I would love for a vr port of everybody’s gone to the rapture
