I'd mind a port of that, too. What I wouldn't mind a port of is the original 1080 in actual 1080 resolution.

At best they'll dump the ROM onto NSO. 😕 In all honesty I don't think the Joycon joysticks can handle that game at all.

Good fucking lord. Can you imagine? I'd give them an hour tops

Yep. I never see anyone on it anymore, so when I do see someone on I’m like a vulture.

I’m not a fan of the new courses at all. The MK8 quality that was established nine years ago now just isn’t there.

That's cool - was streaming it with some friends and someone pointed out how 90s it sounded and in my head i was sure i had seen the username somewhere before 😄

I get Grubb isn't most people's cup of tea but his "insider" stuff is usually accurate.

Just dog on his personality. That's fair game.

Not really, he just leaks PR material that's embargoed. He's a fucking idiot.

Thats simply a load of old bollocks. He had the story about Kojima working with Xbox and Remedy making Alan Wake 2 way before embargoes would have been in place for either of those announcements.

I completely understand find him irritating or don't particularly care about finding out what a studio is working in months in advance. One of Nate Dogs columns a while back questioning the value of spoiling something like an E3 conference or a Direct for yourself did a better job discussing it than I ever would.

I wonder a bit these days if all these pre-announcement or pre-embargo scoops are ever a good thing. At what point is it just stroking your own ego.

Do we ever benefit from knowing before a developer/publisher chooses to announce it? Does it do anything but put at risk (in some way) the thing you're leaking (be that the date/form of the announcement being changed or even a backlash to incomplete information influencing the original project)?

I'm not sure I know what is and isn't worth leaking but I struggle to see it as anything other than these people selling themselves and their connections. If they know I'm sure others do to. Others just choose to respect the owners of the announcement. To enjoy witnessing the surprise.

I don’t like the leaks because it ruins the surprise and you’re usually presented with the information in a much poorer way (take todays leaking of the unfinished animated back story for the new Overwatch hero as a case in point).

But at the same time I still click on those links so I (and I suspect most of us on here), are part of the problem.

His sources are all in marketing, look I don't care about investigative journalists breaking news about new games or partnerships years in advance but when Grubb just leaks shit a couple of days before, it's not journalism, it's breaking embargo.

I'm not interested in this kind of journalism, it's low effort and clout chasing.

Yeah especially when it’s all a bit of fun, it’s not fucking serious stuff like political corruption or people getting killed. It’s just videogame Bullshit. Keep it to yourself and let us be surprised ffs, there’s not much fun left in the world right now as it is.

Thats something I can fully get behind. The whole "I think person X is bad because of this fairytale I've chosen to believe"  stuff is weird to me.

If there's a September direct, it'll get announced 36-48 hours before it airs and it'll probably be tied into TGS. So could easily be announced on Monday/Tuesday for a Wednesday direct.

Don't need to be an embargo breaking weapon to guess that.
