My utter shitness of online FPS seems like it's forever. Played all afternoon and constantly at the bottom of the scoresheet.

I don't understand why I don't improve and it makes me feel a tad inferior. I know I'm 50 but I've always been shit, lol.

Slow down your pace. Don't run everywhere. Have ADS up round every corner.

This game suits a slower playstyle. I'm really enjoying Prisoner Rescue and Search and Destroy. I do decently enough on faster based modes but it feels the game was designed for slower play.

Also, very importantly. Attachments are more of a detriment than an advantage.

There's a guy on YouTube called exclusiveace who has went into detail on it. I run one wee underbarrel that doesn't have any downsides and a red dot sight occasionally.

I am impatient and rush to find action when killed. I'll try to slowing down like you say.

Going to try to up my sensitivity a tad too.

I watched a video someone posted on Reddit yesterday. I didn't check but it sounded like it was Jack Frags. He was explaining some easy ways to improve and the two key things I took away were as above. Slow down, check your corners as much as possible and minimise your attachment use. He said it was all about being able to shoot the other guy faster and if you're being careful you can get your gun up faster than someone tactical sprinting around the corner you're carefully aproaching.

After my first few games getting smoked hard for assuming this was a headless chicken run run run game I settled down and started improving.

Yeah, showing down helps a lot, as does DPS - I think the first AK47 you get is the best medium range weapon for that reason. I’m going to try it with no attachments based on your post.

I'm quite enjoying the multiplayer. The marksman rifle is my bag - being able to 1 shot someone in the head. And free for all - makes it far more stealthy than everyone just running around. Make noise, get banged.

I've seen someone in-game using a full on sniper with a super quick aim to scope time so they were running around using it as a close ish rifle and as a sniper. I want to do that that but am unsure how to go about getting it.

FFA is far from stealthy - think more triangular spawn system of death.

Shoot anyone down and they spawn behind you, whilst another two approach from another two positions within the space of a second. The only valid tactic is to camp instantly to the spot in the hope nothing happens

I've got an AK queued up to level next. Not sure which one. I had a quick game with it and it seemed pretty good. Looking at the levelling for it I can unlock quite a few more

Sounds like a double claymore and portable radar situation to me.

Yeah, it’s the 762.

No idea how accurate this list is but it’s considered one of the best.

The attachment thing is really interesting. I need to read up. I’ve only been using the M4 blueprint you get for finishing the campaign.

Is there a M16 with the old school iron sight? That never needed a scope or sight.

I love FFA sneaking around, but sometimes the tension and excitement feels too full on when I get in the ‘CODZONE’, every so often I’ll feel like I’ve got my young gamer skills back from OG MW2! Then it’ll go to shit. But it only seems to happen in FFA, which has always been my favourite mode, until Gunfight…

Missing Gunfight so much though, that consumed 90% of my playtime. The tournaments they used to do were amazing! Proper team work and tension. I’d buy it as a standalone game. So good.

The 762 AK absolutely slaps up to medium range, it's great. I'm working my way through levelling the other ones, and the 762 was a nice highlight. I'll probably go back to it once everything is gold/platinum, assuming it doesn't get nerfed.

I think it helps if you play the objective games. Domination and Hardpoint are good as they have respawns. Have a plan - defend the objective, don't run around trying to capture bases. Just dig in and defend. Eventually you'll be able to predict where enemies are going to appear so you can prepare. Use your tactical gear, use the perks that give you long throws and an additional tactical grenade. Think about how you're going to defend the objective rather than pegging it around the map. Build a class around this style of play including kill/score streaks and field bonuses. You'll make more sense of the game this way.

In general keep to the edges of the map if you can to reduce the lines of sight leading to you. Stick and move. Building to building if you can. ADS around corners and use mount where you can.

Disagree that weapon attachments are useless. Totally depends on your play style. If you're deliberately playing a less mobile build, a slight speed penalty or slower ADS isn't going to bother you too much. I'm using an M4 with a long barrel, extended mags, 4x Scope, laser and foregrip and don't find the weapon inferior at all. Totally suits my usual style of play which is a bit more tactical/campy than just hooning around the map.

Game seems fucked tonight and I have had no issues before this.

Didn't get any XP in the 10 games I played (which is annoying as I played really well) and the gun pictures in gunsmith were all fucked up. Also had some lag issues for the first time. Although only a wee bit in a couple of games.

Yeah I'm really liking the game. This is the first one in a while where I even enjoy just going on solo too. Sniper / BR as my main and a rocket for spanking those UAVs out of the sky.

Got a chopper gunner without a single kill the other night. Just hanging out near ammo boxes and carrying an ammo crate as my perk on invasion.

Stacked up enough points just by refilling ammo of friendlies and shooting UAVs out of the sky.
