So played for a few hours and actually surprised how much better than the beta this is.  
 

still bugs and lagging but a more solid game. 
 

Why is there no hardcore mode?

 

And how the hell do you figure out how the gun upgrade system works and how to unlock guns??

 

Feels like you have to solve a puzzle!!

Unlocking guns - go to the gun you’re interested in and it’ll tell you how to unlock it. Some unlock at different player ranks and some when you level other weapons. The M16 needs you to have one of the LMGs at a certain level, which in turn needs you to have the M4 at level 18.

Yeah this is bollocks though. Also a load of scopes have no info on how they unlock at all.

 

The front end menus are fine, but the ones deeper are a bit buggy right now.

Completing the campaign gives you access to a very decent Union Guard M4 blueprint, which has served me very well so far in levelling up the M4.

 

Enjoying the MP so far, had a few decent matches, and a few stinkers. Pretty much what I expect from COD.

I’ve read that the scopes with missing info may be because the guns that unlock them are the ones from the season pass - removed from the launch ones? Could just be salty redditors but the mini pro or whatever it’s called is the one I was looking to unlock and there’s no information on how.

Shotguns seem very nice in this, one shot from the hip at dickheads running around in close spaces. Has a few great matches that took me back to the days of OG MW2 when I was half decent. Maybe there’s life in the old dog yet…until they ruin it and cater to the bunny hoping everywhere wankers 😂

I kinda agree with this. I’m enjoying it but not as much as MW19. It’s mainly the maps, some are good, some okay, but their design just doesn’t seem up the past MW titles.

 

I’m looking forward to playing the old maps running on this new engine. The rumour is most of the original MW maps are coming over the course of the next 2 years.

I think I need a break from the COD cycle - I think it's the 4th? game in a row that does this - over the hours it does mount up for a justified moan of course

Ground War was amazing in the Beta. Properly Battlefieldy, a good squad could really roll from base to base and help out.

 

In the final game it feels very snipey. I was getting taken out left right and centre on the maps I was playing this morning. Hopefully just teething issues and not a balancing issue.

Unlocks are absurd.

 

To unlock a SZ Mini scope I have to level 11 a Lachman Sub, which only unlocks when I level 12 a Lachman 556, which only unlocks when I level 13 a Lachman 762

 

Not sure also if it's my internet or not, but I'm rarely winning any 1:1 firing opportunity. Replays suggest I don't hit them when I do, consequently this is a much fun as going to the dentist.

Finding myself going more and more towards the 3rd person mode, really enjoying it! Completed the campaign yesterday and it was mostly decent but for a few missions I didn't enjoy, will go through again and sweep the achievements at some stage.

 

Managed to block crossplay through the xbox setting
