Saw this lunchtime and thought it was really good.

I went in pretty cold and thought it was a horror/comedy, but it isn't remotely.

Very tense at times and keeps you guessing to a degree, but its more about the characters than the situation and they do a good job in getting you to care.  Bautisita is especially excellent.

4/5 and I quite fancy watching it again.

Having already seen the trailer I didn't get an awful lot from this; how it pans out is significantly worse than the book.

If you're got no idea what the film is about and have yet to see the trailer then I'm sure you'd get more out of it than I did. The acting is decent and it's pretty well paced and the film the ending most reminded me of was

Spoiler

The Mist.

This is very watchable and I definitely enjoyed it.  It's typical M. Night Shymalan so you need to be able to suspend disbelief and just go with it.  A bit like The Happening and Devil, the film is carried by the idea and reaches a nice conclusion in 90 minutes.  If you think you'll like it, you'll like it. I enjoy most of his films and this is like most of his films.

Watched this last night.  Whilst competently acted and shot, ultimately it struck me as just being a fucking pointless film.  I was astounded at the lack of suspense or intrigue once the sinister opening 5 minutes were done with.

The message of the film seemed to be

Spoiler

pay attention to dangerous, murderous, nutjob conspiracy theorists, because they might be right.

And the news reports of events around the world were laughably bad, especially in contrast to the standard of acting in the rest of the movie.

The best thing about it was it was only 1h 40m.

3/10.

I just saw this and was waiting for the twist...

Spoiler

so the twist is that there's no twist.

It played out exactly as you would predict, so I agree it lacked suspense.

While the journey was mildly intriguing I left feeling totally deflated.

Edit: I just read the plot of the book and the ending is very different. I wouldn't say it is much better, but it is more dramatic.
