Yeah the title card on Disney+ is absolutely dire, it's a terrible Photoshop!

I keep thinking Rob McElhenney will hit the big time any year now, he deserves a shot at writing, directing and/or staring in a big film release. I mean he's hardly unknown, look at his house ffs, but he's a long way from a household name. Weird seeing snippets of his wife in real life not being Dee.

Enjoyed the first two episodes anyway.

Sorry this was from ages ago, but whenever I listen to Rob McElhenney he almost doesn't consider himself an actor. He's very deferential to everyone else on Sunny and he has a terrible case of imposter syndrome. In fact I think he reluctantly played Mac and it was supposed to be David Hornsby instead. On the other hand it feels like Glenn Howerton would love to be in a big movie – was it Captain America he was in the last two for maybe?

He's the creator of two huge shows so I'm sure if he wanted to he could make his own movie. Charlie Day is after all.

Runner-up for Starlord.

Marvel hired a skinjob instead.

Just started watching the Wrexham programme, hadn't heard of the documentary until it was mentioned on the It's Always Sunny Podcast. 3 episodes in and really enjoying it. Was also very surprised to learn Rob and Ryan hadn't met until after the sale, had just assumed they had been longterm friends.

As an ex resident of Wrexham for many years, despite them referencing how run down the town is, they do a good job (so far) of making Wrexham look an ok place to live.

It’s a shit hole. Every other shop on the high street is a pop up shop or just plain closed.

It’s a nasty town with a vibrant art scene that the “ordinary man” despises.

Did you not fancy going along to the football when you were there?

Might have cheered you up a bit.

Might.

Enjoyed the last few episodes of Wrexham, presume there is still at least one to release.

The schedule of releases on Disney is all over the place incidentally!

There were a weird couple of episodes near the end where Ryan and Rob literally said one sentence on a half-assed voiceover. I like seeing it all develop from their perspective, as well as the fans, town and squad. The football bits I'm the least interested in weirdly!

I’ve not followed football that closely for many years. When did players wearing bras become a thing? In the men’s game.

special man bra’s loaded with gps and tech to track all sorts of data.

I believe former footballer Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is behind one of the companies that make them.

‘Former’ is a tad harsh, although to all intents and purposes, probably not far off the inevitable

I've spotted Megan Ganz at a couple of games. He was with her years before she started doing stuff with McElhenney. So without Ganz presumably Humphrey Ker doesn't end up working with McElhenney either.

And McElhenney doesn't get introduced to football and none of this happens.

He's somehow even posher than Louis Theroux. He went to school with Prince Harry I think.

Megan said he went to school with Prince William, one of the reasons I connected the pieces and realised he was Meg's husband while watching this.

Bit confused about the editing of some of the episodes. Just watched one there which had games taking place in March (including the match against Dover) but interlaced with Cameron Green not being happy with lack of gameplay and then leaving so assume must have been in the (January?) Transfer Window?

I thought he had his contract cancelled by mutual consent going by the conversation between him and Parkinson and the chronology? So it could have been March so he was free to sign for another club?

He left to join St Albans on loan in January.

There are one or two things out of sequence in the series, and shots of players training who weren't at the club at the time, shots of fans who weren't actually at those particular games, that sort of thing. Assuming that's all seen as not mattering. Which I suppose it doesn't really unless you've received a mid season football banning order and the magistrate spots you at the Dover game. There are quite a few errors with the subtitle stuff too where they are clearly guessing things like the words to the Aaron Hayden song, managing to hear "Wears a Deadpool Mask" instead of "Wears a Magic Hat" which obviously makes much more sense. Not sure why they didn't run it all by someone local. Actually I think I remember hearing Humphrey Ker saying he checked some subtitle stuff they weren't sure of which would explain things.
