Magazines Direct really do suck. They are arguing with me that I've been charged £11.25 a quarter for a year but I've just provided a screenshot of evidence that it began in July and that follows a letter to tell me there was an issue taking some DDs and I was being billed slightly extra. Lets see how they respond to this!

They are complete garbage. They messed me around so much on my digital sub that I cancelled it and bought through Apple instead, which diverts money away from the mag, but it was that or be stuck with an app that didn’t work which no one wanted to help with.

Use Zinio for my digital mags. Works well and is multiplatform.

 

Usually get the odd Edge and Retro Gamer through there. Just noticed the Xmas Edge is the same price as December's issue. So that price lift on the paper version must purely be for the calender they included.

Readly also works well, though it is a Netflix model rather than buying individual issues.

I was looking at that too... although I don't always buy mags that regularly. Although it might encourage me to read some more! :)

If you sign up watch out for differing prices. I think it’s cheaper to sign up on a computer rather than via the iOS app. Still the same product and on all the same platforms, just different prices.

Stock response today to my proof. Complete and utter arseholes. They even say as part of the DD guarantee I will be informed. I challenged this in my email before because there was no notification. They can't even be arsed to check the records for the actual letter they sent which said it was due to payment errors.

 

I'm not angry at the price increase, I've been paying it for the best part of ten years (introductory offer seems a bit rich mind) but it's the lack of honest Comms.

Yeah, it's irritating 🙂

 

I going on the assumption that there isn't another copy of the Blanka cover that hit newstands and has 8/8 on it and they either just forgot or left it off as it was a subscriber cover, either way, it does mess up the continuity when you have them lined up on the shelf.

Thanks.  I've managed to find an image of the Kimberly cover, although I suspect this is cover 2/8 as the image on the back of the bag shows 8 covers in total, including Blanka.  Otherwise there would be 9 covers.

 

All I have to do now is find one 🙂
