Which games need a tiny tweak?

In Bloodborne, automatically restock the hunter's blood vial and quicksilver bullet supply after they die.

It's one of my all-time favourite games, and I got the Platinum and the DLC trophies, but I don't get what running laps around the Central Yharnam bonfire crew for items (or killing a handful of late game enemies for echoes) every single time adds to the experience. I know it's personal choice and I don't have to restock my vials/bullets each time, but I like the luxury of extended discovery time. It's a change that would instantly make the experience a little better.

Triggering a Breath of the Wild fan is easier than making a pot noodle.

Getting a pot noodle just right takes a lot of consideration into how the whole physics and chemistry systems works, years of work to get it just perfect. In combat I prefer tins of Heinz Cream Of Tomato Soup though.

Outer Wild. I’d make it so the angler fish only moves if you are making light/noise. As soon as you stop your thrusters it should stop noticing you. Instead once it’s aware of you you’re instantly dead and it makes a tricky section actually just frustrating and time consuming.

Jedi: Fallen Order

Sort out the dreadful map and some of the platforming sections (those bastard power slide bits!) and it would have made a very good game even better

I'm hoping this is the case with the sequel

What is it with the Fallen Order map? I also hated it, even though it’s pretty much the Metroid Prime map, which is excellent 🤷🏻‍♂️

yeah it seems this is all set for a sequel that really gives us a great game. I’d add the respawning enemies to the above. It doesn’t work in a Star Wars game.

Animal Crossing games  should stack stuff in the inventory for you, rather than requiring you to do it manually. It's unnecessary busy work (admittedly in a game where that is the main design goal). (Maybe this is fixed in the most recent versions that I've not played, but I suspect not.)

seems like that's a massive improvement on you not liking zelda games at all:

or not being comfortable with the button layout years into owning the game:

or you not enjoying it because there's too much cooking:

though i guess it's a step back from when you thought it was fantastic:

to be fair, maybe it really isn't your thing and it's been a hot minute since you brought it up last:

maybe it's just because the switch's is nintendo's vita:

but you know what, i think deep down you and i both know the truth. you just want to go back and play your true love, the only open world game that makes you happy:

i'm not being mean btw, i'm genuinely in awe of all the different takes you manage to have on one game. play something else, fella. it's christmas.

This is the single best, and also most worrying post I've ever seen.  Is that you in my garden? I thought it was racoons. The police have been called.  Thank God for you pulling all my contradictory posts into one place.  I'm genuinely in awe. No sarcasm.

I used Zelda because it guarantees the thread gets a kick.  The truth is I want the weapons to be a bit stronger. But you're right, I loved it for the first couple of days then realised it's not my thing at all.  But you must realise that while I love Night Trap that whole post is a joke....

I want to give your post 100 pos's but it only lets me give you one. Do you have a Patreon?

Is it wrong that @SMDs post has me laughing at my own jokes? I'd forgotten I'd ever written that about Night Trap and the praise I give the game for not reusing assets because there is no toilet in the kitchen has made me laugh out loud.  And it's open world because it's in a house... And the mouths all fit in when they speak.  God that game was ahead of its time.

GTA4 - more frequent checkpoints in missions and holding a button to sprint.

I remember the pre-release headlines coming out for V and "mid-mission checkpoints" being one of the biggest announcements for me.

This is a perfect one. Completely agree.

The angler fish are the weakest part of that game by far, there was no need to make them an aggressive game over.
