I stumbled upon this this morning. Supposed to be a nice little bridge between DS 1 and 2. It disappeared from the store years back, and I never played it on release. Gonna hit it up when done with DS 2023.

I played through this about three times to unlock all the gear. Probably actually my first Dead Space? It had entirely serviceable dual stick plus swipe controls, atmospheric and expansive levels with secrets, it was technically impressive, and there was a proper Dead Space novella of a story in there. Back in that brief beautiful window where mobile phones were powerful for a console-style single player game but the free-to-play race to the bottom hadn’t yet made it economically ludicrous for a big studio to develop one.

 

The Mass Effect spin-off they did later wasn’t as good.

Not strictly for Wii, tis also on PS4 (or was it 3?). Dead Space Extraction.
