Aside all the vaguely realistic things I would be happy to see mentioned, my outlandish wish that I still cling to with every Direct is SNES Remix. Please!

I'd expect Nintendo to only give us GB first. Then we'll wait a year or so for GBC then GBA. But who knows?

I’ve said this before in the GBA thread in retro,  but for a console that was Nintendo’s flagship handheld offering for just 3 years, the GBA has an astonishingly good software library.

 

Thing is, the RG351P is amazing for GBA, and I thought the 7” Steam Deck screen was too big, so I don’t think I’d bother with GBA on the Switch.

Also, Gameboy stuff will be coming to Switch Online for sure, because I just paid good money for the Zelda Oracle games, some Wario Lands, Kirbies galore and Donkey Kong 94 on the 3DS eShop before it closes 🤦🏻‍♂️

Only very slightly. Besides the date for Zelda was reconfirmed in their financial results yesterday. Those result also mentioned Metroid prime 4 as a TBA release date and Pikmin 4 as this year.

I can see Viewtiful Joe remaster happening, if only to pad out a rather thin looking release schedule post May. (Sandwiched in between Donkey Kong 3D World and Metroid Prime 4 obviously)

If Metroid's not this year, I think they'll probably keep it under wraps until they can give at least a release window other than a year. The most I could imagine is a mini update saying it's coming along and we'll have more to share soon /in the future - it's not like they haven't got Zelda to splurge on.

There's a fair bit of smoke that Tears of the Kingdom is going to be Nintendo's first £70/$70 game without even having the next-gen tax excuse to hide behind.

3D Zelda is one of the very few games I'm willing to pay that for but I pre-ordered it with Shopto ages ago for £50, hopefully they won't cancel it if this is indeed true.

 

Might be worth getting a preorder in at somewhere it's still listed at £50 in case it's true.

I've got some Nintendo Online vouchers ready to go on this, it should be on that list. If cheap credit is on offer somewhere I buy it then use it to grab vouchers which are £84 but get you 2 games. All this if you have Nintendo Online. Every first party game has been on this and most Switch exclusives, so this should be.
