- Can it reasonably be said that top-end Nintendo games cost as much to make as top-end games from other developers?

Yes. Turning out stuff like Zelda and Mario regularly doesn't happen because they are doing things on the cheap. It's not cheaper to animate something toon-shaded than it is to animate something realistic (and likely brown) for example.

You're arguing it should be cheaper for something hand-made because it uses less machinery than something made in a factory.

If by any miracle Advance Wars gets a date, the tickets don't jump up in price and Zelda is available to pre-order with one of the tickets it'll be the bargain of the century.

I'm not holding my breath.

I’m tempted to lock-in now, but there is a slight worry you won’t be able to purchase Zelda with one. Every other Nintendo title has been on there though.

I guess I can use them on Metroid Prime Trilogy and the Wind Waker HD/Twilight Princess HD double pack if it falls through.

Use it for the new Wave Race and F-Zero.

I don't like any Zelda games. Can it be about something good instead?

Apparently it's Elden Scrolls 2 (sequel to the uncontested greatest game ever).

I'd settle for just Elden Scrolls working on switch but....

Ok I’ve bought some Nintendo Game Vouchers, two for £79. I am not fucking around putting cartridges in and out to play the 100+ hour new best game ever™.

So fully expect the new one to not be included in this offer.

Ooh I admire your courage. I don't have the balls for that and I'm gonna wait and see.

£78 only looks like a good deal if there’s another full price switch game you’re after. I sold mine in 2020 and there’s still bigger all I want other than TOTK.

In the next 12 months I’m sure there will be.

Spoiler

There's no way it will be included in the vouchers but there's plenty more to buy.

BOTW was and it was £60 digitally. Every first party game has been in there.

This Direct feels like it requires alcohol, but not at 10pm...

I'm going to have a coffee, because Silksong is shadow dropping tonight and I'm pulling an all-nighter.

I wasn’t going to, but someone bought me a bottle of wine as a thank you at work, so the universe clearly wants me to.
