Always on the cards. Just a case of which of the registered trademarks Rockstar would choose. The engine will be the same as the previous two games as well so no big shakes in the graphics department.

Yeah, but the next real incarnation of GTA. As far as I know, that is going to PS3. There should be some updates like, maybe a half way point, but I think they are concentrating on getting the next engine ready for GTA in the next gen.

Oooh. Goody. Another full-price mission pack.

You're being very unfair on Vice City there. It was a different game world entirely, they brought it motorbikes and helicopters and a decent plane, the soundtrack kicked arse, and it was throughly enjoyable.

It was a proper sequel.

EDIT: I'm willing to bet £20 that one feature of this new one is that theres an earthquake that affects the level layout and opens up new areas at least once during the game.

The soundtrack will be the clincher for me. Vice City's kept me playing, and I'm grateful since extended play reveals so many nice touches, not to mention improvements on GTAIII (okay then, helicopters!).

Anyone know what the soundtrack for this new GTA game will be?

Argh. I wish they'd wait till the PS3... Although I'll no doubt buy this, I'll be playing it through a tense grimmace as I have to deal with the terrible graphics.

At the release I was fine, the graphics were great for the time.

PS2 graphics these days really are showing age.

Jesus- they release the name of the game and everyone knows how it plays already!

I'll suck your winky if it plays any different to Vice City.

I'm betting on lots of 60s/70s stuff, with a smattering of dance and some stuff for the Anglophiles (it's one of the few cities in the States where British bands can get arrested, the SF crowd tends to be pretty open-minded and easy-going/receptive)

Yes, well again, you just don't play it.

Ignore this one and wait for the next one. If you want a 'big leap' in gameplay/graphics, just wait until it arrives. The PS3 is a long way off yet, you know.

Hmm. Dunno about this. Remember, True Crime was modelled on LA and the city turned out to be really boring. Isn't there a lot of straight roads in SF? The game could end up really tedious.
