What the blank?

Regarding MGS:TTS, no I've not played it yet, and like I said in that thread, I guess I should get things in proportion. I'm waiting for PAL because I'm broke just now. And Sabre Wulf's score is pretty much expected after Edge's preview, which somehow attempted to paint the game as innovative whilst rattling off the platforming cliches present (item seeking, hub worlds) and bizarrely claiming its short levels were good because they were clearly-defined. Surely large levels with clearly-defined goals, and short levels with freedom to encourage you to go back, make more sense, eh?

Spong - Extrapolating wildly since 200x.

Spong sucks, but apparantly it comes right from the horse's mouth. And if anything, it's just as founded as the other rumours drifting around.

Microsoft and Tecmo will advise the press of any changes that may be made, as and when the situation changes.

So far, there is no confirmation of censorship.

Yes - but they started the rumour in the first place (if you believe the article).

"Nintendo to convert Game Boy games to mobile phones"

"Based on a patent that has been interpreted by no-one else in this way...."

Is the issue in general any good?

Or below average like the last one?

By that I mean their writing and design style.

I think standards have dropped a little.

The standard's still below average, I'm afraid.

But we'll get there -- HONEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Design wise it's excellent IMO, especially the lovely Resident Evil 4 cover/spread. I haven't read much yet, but from what I've read I've enjoyed.

The design isn’t too bad at the moment but I feel they could and should have done better.

Does the review say anything about the intense micromanagement making it less fun than the GBA version?

Indeed it does. To quote the review, "The only drawback is that it occasionally mimics life too closely."

I'd agree, I think the design is still at a high standard. The RE4 feature was lovely and gruesome.

and why do i have to stop myself calling it ninja garden? that would be a better game.

That would be splend-ex. It would be like Dunc McDonald's timeless classic Advanced Lawnmower Simulator... but with ninjas!

Someone who is better than me: prog-this-up on a Speccy now. Please!

And include beheadings - like on Barbarian. We'll show PEGI!

I think Edge should give all games 5/10 - communism rules, man!

The ad for This is football 2004 was quite interesting - 4 vs 4 online play. As it's not from EA the network code should also be fine, so here's hoping for a decent playable game to go online with.

I've got it sitting in front of me. I really ought to give it a go.
