Cant open that. Bugger.

I was actually following this game from when it was a massively multiplayer third person mac game with amphibious assault vehicles in which you could go to any point on the halo at any time. It always showed a lot of promise. In some ways, it didnt even approach its grand design in terms of scope. in others of course, it utterly surpassed them.

yeah while it's nice to see the footage i'm sure there's more and it would have been nice to be a bit more serious. even when serious points are asked they get shot down by silly comments.

Made it alot more interesting than if it would of been all serious.

Did anyone see the "Halo in development" video on the OXM discs about a year ago? Showed early builds/cutscenes. And dinosaurs IIRC :)

Yup. And I remember seeing very early PC code of it before then too. Again, with dinosaurs and things.

They certainly 'streamlined' the idea, didn't they?

Yeah, but like Kerraig said, if it had followed its initial course it could well have ended up being a jack of all trades but a master of none. Since they focussed on certain elements it turned out to be a master in one trade and a jack in...erm..

... :)

Games should recieve stuff like that as "Bonus material" in re-releases, DVD style. It's great.

Wouldn't that be good. Probably will happen though, which is nice.

Halo's original concept would have been great but Halo was great anyway. Imagine how high the bar would've been if they'd tied the two together?

Watched it this morning. Would have been fine except for the damn retarded Americans doing the commentary. It was like Beavis and Butthead do Halo.

Interesting stuff though. As someone has already said, this kind of thing would be great on games as bonus material (like DVD's).

Im on isdn i cant upload a cd nevermind a dvd, plus my dvd readers rubbish and wont read dvds now on XP. If it does il check the file size.

Disaster chaps, i sent my last ones to people iv traded with, iv only got my own one left. It shows up as 30 meg on Boxplorer in the videos folder which im sure must be wrong, as theyre huge. It may go on a cdr, il check later.
