Cube support slips further

Oh god no!

We're never going to see EA's yearly rehash's on the GC! The pain! Someone put me out of my misery! The whole reason I got my GameCube was to play games that are different, to do things I can't do in real life, to escape. If I wanted to play football, I'd go out and play it.*

*WE6 is exempt from this

Business as usual for GI.biz/EuroGamer then.

Codies have never supported the GC.

Lucasarts = pure speculation.

In other news, Birdseye have just shockingly pulled out of the GC market.

Aye. Scaremongering a go-go.

Remeber though, in this buisness, it's not so much the facts that count, more the perception.

I thought exactly the same when I read this, basically the only thing thats changed is that EA aren't releasing a Euro 2004 game for the GC. Given that the European championship has little or no coverage in the Gamecubes largest markets (US and Japan) I'm hardly surprised to be honest.

I thought that, it also mentions that Ubisoft aren't working on anything for the Cube, they've only just released a whole load of games, give 'em a chance!

Although I think losing the football franchises is very bad news in the way that the Cube is viewed by potential customers.

definitely in this country (and i reckon all across europe), surely a lot of kids will be wanting to play these games and that means it won't be on a nintendo console now. i'm not sure how much of a dent it'll make worldwide though.

Especially seeing as FIFA is presumably still coming out.

Winning Eleven 6: Final Evolution - the best iteration so far on the best controller.

Yes indeed. It's probably the only reason I'll be taking any of my consoles to Uni with me aswell..

Fifa: Euro Edition and whatever turgid shite Codemasters knock out isn't going to bother me when it doesn't appear on the Cube, but it's still slightly disheartening to see publishers/developers giving up on the little thing.

And the impression it gives off isn't too good either. G@ycu|3e is teh d00m3d, and all that.

Fifa 2004 is in the GameCube charts for about 22 weeks now.

1 Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

2 James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing

3 Sonic Heroes

4 Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

5 Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

6 The Simpsons: Hit and Run

7 Sonic Mega Collection

8 Need For Speed: Underground

9 Mario Party 5

10 Tak And The Power of Juju

Current GC top ten.

Would you like to retract your bullshit statement son?

Rest of games industry to Nintendo:

Won't you just do the world a favour and die already!

Don't get me started.

If Nintendo wouldn't have been so successful in the first place, its unlikely the Playstation would even exist. Ever since the GameBoy's arrival Sony have been envious.
