I would like the game, but I decide to use my money for a chipped XBOX instead ;) and this mean no more games for a while :(

I'd rather spend the money on 5 games that will last me more than 5 hours and leave me with a 5 foot by 2 foot space to find afterwards. But Legendary, how do you mean no more games for a while? If you're chipping then that's about 1000 retro games, if not normal games if you become a big yarring person of low moral fibre :(

5 Hours? I am so bloody tired because of this game and BSB over the weekend.

Friday Night was about 8 hours total

Saturday was around 10 hours

Compare this to recent releases: PGR2 (31 hours since december and bored now) and KOTOR (35 hours dark, 7 hours light since release and also bored)

The only games to garner this attention from me in recent memory have been Ikaruga, Halo, Mario 64 and Gran Turismo

Seriously

For me, this game really does hit the spot

That's cool. It's just that if I was so inclined I'd get Mechwarrior on the PC and a Sidewinder

Don't knock it until you have tried it. By try, I mean actually play the game properly for a bit, online, get to know some people (not hard, you being a bird) and have a blast at the community.

10 hours, you say?

I'm betting 5 of those were waiting for the bloody game to start.

So slow getting a game going...

Lag isn't really a problem. I usually get a bit of lag when the game starts but after 30 seconds or so its sorted itself out and the game runs perfectly. the only big problem is joining game, it usually takes few tries to join.

plus the original game is pretty good too.

w00t. my copy showed up this morning :(

no time to play with it, though, since the removal blokeys are here packing shit up :(

and once we get to london, we'll have to wait for BT to sort out a phoneline before we can get dsl, so i probably won't be able to play online for ages :(

oh well, at least i won't be a complete n00b when i first go online ;)

Well after some confusion with Anotherworld, they thought I wanted to order it with the controller, I'm fairly sure I said wothout, I finally got it. Turns out they had loads of the game on it's own but only two with the controller.

Anyway, thought I should get some use out of it. The original was good. Alot of the critisisms are valid, and after dieing and having to start again a few times I never actually complted it. But, I'm looking forward to this.

I wonder if there are anyplans for a proper offline sequal, or any other games to use the controller.

Trying it would mean spending all that money on it and Live  So no ;)

I love this game ;)

yeah, it takes up the living room (after putting the table out) and is the most expensive game I've ever bought but I've never played a robot game where your left feeling like you are controlling a 100 ton killer stomper! the atmosphere is superb..

I did find it mad to get to grips with to start with and there is lots to learn so it won't be for everyone - anyone thinking its Mechassault with an expensive controller will be horrified.

The online part isn't as smooth as it could be but this game has the potential to be amazingly addictive - and no its not me just saying this to back up my purchase. If I wasn't overly happy I'd have it on ebay right now, but I'm loving it - even the 1st game is pretty decent in its own right.

Then don't make silly comments about the game then, darling

If it was more like 80 or 70 pounds i'd be tempted. Is the whole joystick made of solid brushed steel and industrial grade servos or something??? But Unreal 2004 was £17.99 with no fee and that has no lag and people are friendly so far
