Halo was pretty dull in the second part of it, though dull... not really the right word. As soon as the Flood came into it, the pace of the game changed somewhat. You were definitely more cautious and less gung-ho. I hope the game doesn't end with what's basically a glorified rally course with additional explosions and various spats of slowdown.

And as for cat and mouse - meh.

Probably.

I'm currently playing through the entire game for the fourth time (once more on heroic - haven't touched it for six months, so Legendary would be suicide) and it's still just as fucking brilliant as it was when I first played it.

The Xbox is my favourite console by far, but that's only because of Halo. Apart from that, all my favourite titles of this generation are either on GC or DC. It's amazing what a single game can do...

All this Halo talk makes me want to play it again. Nothing beats twatting a grunt with a good ol' dependable melee attack. I loved the elites and their w00tw00tw00ting too. Several flavours of w00t.

I really am not too sure about Killzone. From the footage I've seen, it looks a bit... well... PS2. Low bit depth texturing, dull greyish colour scheme. I read somewhere in Edge there's some wonderous "multi-layering texture technique" but I'm fucked if I can see it.
