I like it a lot. Love the minimalistic look, all whites and blacks etc. Music is quality, especially with a decent surround sound system and subwoofer. Nice old style gameplay and you've gotta love her arse, when she shakes it to the beats! ;)

How would I go about connecting my Cube to surround sound? ;)

Aside from component cables.

I've got an unofficial scart cable, with the copmosite input/output block on it. Then you just need a Red/White audio jacks and put them into your surround system and the other end into the composite block.

Not the best description I know but you'll hopefully understand it!

Shut up!

Hey there,

I can already plug the white and red in via the component though you see, using the yellow to plug into the SCART block into the back of the TV. It's just not surround sound though, is it?

Shut up.

I hate how you get killed after 3 shots, have to input the special moves on the D-Pad and how there's a massive black border in 60hz down the bottom and there's no option to move the screen. Apart from that, err oh yeah I wish there was a quick turn so you could turn around fast to get at sweeping enemies, but instead you pirouette backwards facing the same direction like an idiot.

Press the Z Button!

You die in 3 hits? You have been upgrading your suit haven't you?

Okay, got that now. She's a bit of a cack handed cow isn't she? She doesn't strafe or move or turn properly. I'll really need to get used to this. typical bad controls capcom 3d game..

It's uber frustrating. What's this game got anything to do with shooting or 'dancing' to the beat by the way? It's about the most cak handed and unrhythmic game i've ever played. I'm sure i'll get used to it but I want to give it a good kicking right now. The only other game i've ever played that I've been really frustrated by is WWE Here Comes The Pain that I borrowed off Monkichi 2.0. I threw the PS2 controller to the ground really hard and broke off all the shoulder buttons

It's got nothing to do with rhythm - it's all about hammering the feck out of the fire button and dodging at the last possible moment.

In saying that, it does become a bit more pedestrian when you get a suit with the full autofire upgrade - saved me from getting tendonitis or something though :D

1. If it's frustrating and Marmite, I think I'll give it a miss.

2. HCTP is frustrating, but I got good quickly and can royally fuck up anyone on it now.

3. I've never managed to break any of my pads - be they PS2 or otherwise.. And I throw them about shitloads.. Hmm..

I really liked the game, though I do I think that some of the 'simplicity' was due to a bit of a rushed development though - the static menu screens, the lack of voice acting, etc.

I thought the controls worked pretty well for the old school style of shooter that it is - they seem geared quite well to the whole twitch gaming thing rather than the more smooth control systems seen in other types of games (mario 64 for example).

It's can get hard, it can get frustrating but you do get a feeling of satisfaction beating and area you've been stuck on for a while or wiping the floor with a room full of enemies without getting hit. And pirouetting out of the way of a rocket at the last second is fucking cool!

It is a shame Vanessa doesn't shake her ass to the music though...

I've started it again on Easy instead of normal and now i'm getting to grips with it and really like it  It only cost me £12.99, I think i'll get my money's worth. I am at level 3 and I bought the Intera Blazer, I thought I should as it is the most powerful one, though my thumb may be permanently damaged by the end of level 4 :D

I think it's superb too. Edge described it as Space Invaders in 3D which is pretty spot on. I also think the controls suit the game perfectly - it's all about staying exposed and shooting for as long as you dare, then dodging out of the way at the very last moment. A great twich game that isn't underrated, just misunderstood.
