The most beautful songs

Sitting here, scrolling about my MP3 collection, I just decided to put on Jeff Buckley's supreme album, 'Grace'. I hit track 6, halleluja, and it slowly dawned on me that it is possibly the most beautiful song I have ever heard. This prompted me both to make this thread, and to put on Del Amitri - Nothing ever happens (another supremely beautiful song)

Discuss, make nominations of your own, I just thought I'd share that with you all.

Plus it could end up as a 'Beautiful songs for summer' album.

Beautiful songs -

Protection - Massive Attack

Retrovertigo - Mr Bungle

Cold Water - Damien Rice (in fact, anything by Damien Rice...)

Selfless, Cold and Composed - Ben Folds Five

Brighter Than Sunshine - Aqualung

Forlorn - Sunna

Certainty of Chance - The Divine Comedy

In fact, listening to Protection again now. Fantastic song, fantastic video.

"I am the cancer" by Sloan.

The squealing guitars offset by the male lead and female backing just does something for me.

It's a very personal choice (isn't all music) but 11 years on I still get goosebumps listening to it.

Saturday Sun - Nick Drake (But River Man will do at a push :) )

Autumn Leaves - Cannonball Adderley

Midnight Cowboy Theme - John Barry

My Angel Rocks Back & Forth - Four Tet

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

All of them beautifull songs to me at least.

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

Agreed.

Also anything by elbow, specifically the tracks;

"Powder Blue", "Scattered Blacks and Whites" and "Switching off"

In that order.

EDIT: Oh and has anyone heard this Moby track off of the album "I like to score", track 11, i think it's called "Love theme"? - I think it's totally beautiful stuff.
