Ta man, was looking forward to a game but have yet to play you. Another RB on my list though, you can supply me with Yellow Jackets :P I give one a try the other day in Free Battle and I think they're awesome -- I can play my 1st Gen. Scare Face tactics with 2nd Gen. armour/etc... aces!

I sold the level 1 advanced balancer I had too, for 100,000. Crazy people!

edit: Had a really good game last night. I caught an M1 unawares in my Scare Face A1 and took him out with T-GNDs. 8000 supply points, ta very much :P

I defo. like them Yellow Jackets :wub: Moved on now, onto support VTs. I like the responsiveness of each (Behemoth, Maelstrom and Vortex) so I might stick 'em out. I avoided them in the first round, didn't seem to click with them but after playing around with some of the 'tweaked' weaponary ('cos they're terrible in the original title, 'cept maybe the Behemoth), I think I like.

Got a #10 Behemoth too. Neon-green cockpit design :)

edit: Also, that's not the only M1 I've gotten in an A1 either. They're totally shite at turning, get behind one and they're dead ;) Don't fancy my chance much against anything else :P

Bah, my xbox got banned last night. Apparently the latest update sets the dahboard to automatically connect again. Just paid for the pgr2 paris pack and SC:PT too. Hopefully my intended eeprom trickery will work and then I'm into the fray again for the oh so Rigtheous Right Brothers.

Well I'm back on again, but have switched to Jars. I would have liked to stay RB, but it's hard enough to get games going as it is. Missed a lot of playtime this round though, and found out I am absolutely helpless and disoriented in the indoor mission (really dislike indoor, although this one is not as bad as the last one in the dark).

DJ, if you need some free mission playtime you can add me (gamertag Atarian). I also have a prom m2, sheepdog, jar N, colt exec and yellowjacket you can touch.

That's ok! Didn't explain things very well, I guess the best way to pick things up is play in campaign mode in 1st gen matches. That way you steadily build up your cash and also learn how to pilot, also find a VT you like and stick with it. They're harder to handle than 2nd gen VTs, and probably more fun :P

I'm going to be around most nights over the next 2 weeks, see you in there.

I finally took the shrink wrap off this game and got stuck in last night, joined Jaralacs went into a campaign mission, wandered around our own base for a few minutes whilst some american was saying "anything over with you" - to which the answer was "no"... and then it said our mission failed. yay

Then I checked and my pilot was called CurryKiten, so I deleted him and readded one properly spelt. Then I couldn't join any side - was it waiting for the next turn to start or something ?

So what's the best side to join, I went with Jaralaccs because I got one of the Jaralaccs VT's during the Beta - and they can join in any side ?

Will try and get in a bit more regularly now - what time are most people on ?

I'll be on quite regularly over the next two weeks, I'm Jaralaccs too. I've also been PRF and RB but I can't decide which one I like best. Are you doing 1st or 2nd gen matches currykitten?

Yes if you couldn't join then the match had probably filled up already.

I'd say that if you want to use Jaralaccs 2nd gen VTs then save up some cash first as they cost 16-17000 a pop, so you generally can't afford to lose even one per match without making a loss. My funds are slowly falling. . . The Right Brothers have the yellow jacket which is a very nice VT, handles well and only costs 9000 so it's a bit easier on the wallet.

I did find some problems with the menu to be honest, like not being able to join a friend, invite only, and not knowing when a match was about to end and just being stuck on a map screen not knowing what was happening. Would like to play some of the campeign missions tonight, either of you guys up for it?

You'll get it eventually, just stick with it. You can see how you're progressing by looking at the sub-monitor; switching once from the map screen changes to your current point/status->VT running status->armour->map. You got stuck on the map screen 'cos you need to reselect a spawn point.

There were some problems with the servers last night too, so they were reset during the resupply. Everything was fine after that, but most people didn't seem to come back after the drop.

Sounds like my probs could have been down to server issues then, it wasn't the fact that I couldn't join a game, after I deleted my miss-spelled pilot and created a new one, I couldn't even join an army.

Anyway, tonight - I'll be on. You'll see me, I'll be the tripping over my own feet.

No i meant the main map screen before you join a game, where it shows the players who are in the game, its not very well laid out.

Quick question, how do you find your friends on the game? for example i can see you on it outspaced but cant join your game. I had a random game just now with some americans, but id like to play against some people who arnt total idiots, but the game seems to force you to set up a room and wait for your friends to join, its also annoying i get loads of connection problems too with it kicking me out of rooms due to transmission errors.

Anyone fancy a game tomo night about 7pm? If so can you tell me and create a room?

Because it was my first game, it was 1st gen, as you say the Jaralaccs are big money, so I could only buy a few Vitch's.

Hmmm, the Yellow jacket sounds interesting also, 9k for a 2nd gen mech - good value for money :lol:

It's toss, that's why it's cheap. Stick with your Colts, until a drop of Sheepdogs and Siegzsugs comes along. Or, buy a 3rd-gen off me for the BARGAIN PRICE of 250,000 credits ^_^
