I love my free Saturdays cos it gives me a chance to sit down for a few hours with my game collection, and really put in some time.

Through the post yesterday I got Racing Evoluzione and Mafia for the Xbox, and ZOE2 for PS2, along with buying Hitman: Contracts, England International Football, Fight Night and XIII all for the Xbox, so i've got a few to try today :lol:

Actually last night I tried EIF and decided it was absolute crap, Fight Night hurt my fingers so shant be going back to it, and I liked Hitman: Contracts less than I liked 2 so... theyre all going back. :D

So what have I been playing?

Well, Racing Evoluzione. It's good. Apart from the shocking shocking audio its a very decent racing game and i've played about 3/4 hours on that, progressing quite slowly but really enjoying it.

ZOE2 i've had an hour on and considering its my first really mech game i'm liking it a lot. Crazy crazy story and sequences but the game is frantic and gorgeous to look at, controls work superbly and it just feels good blowing the crap out of stuff if you know what I mean? :)

Lastly, XIII which I avoided around Christmas because I thought nothing of it, having now sampled the first 4/5 levels I can say its one fine FPS. The visual style works excellently and some of the touches (like the cut out head shots...) are superb. At £14.99 it was a steal and i'm gonna go put in a few more hours.

I just bought Beyond Good and Evil yesterday.

It's really rather good, I also got everything or nothing, I'm racing through it, but it's a lot of fun.

Also from my back catalogue of games, I'm playing manhunt, and am at my first gun fight :lol:

The GFs out tonight, the car don't work, and other than browsing the forum I have mostly been playing:

Delta Force: Landwarrior (must take more handgrenades to destroy weapons crates)

and

PGR2 (going for gold)

Might go back to MotoGP (xbox) in a bit. :lol:

I'm enjoying some advanced wars 2 today

I have been going back through the advance campaign again after finishing the war room (and getting Hiachi). I love this game..

Also trying to play TOCA2 but having problems pulling away from the line without burning out and ending up last...grrrr.. :lol:

Still edging my way towards 100% in FFX-2, alternating with FFXI. Not to mention unfinished games of Dark Chronicle and Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

RPG's are my favorite genre and I now have a quality example to play whichever way i turn. I just hope I can finish some of them before Dark Cloud 3 and FFXII emerge. Not to mention any "sleepers" that might be out now or soon. I've been hearing good things about .hack: infection... :lol:

Project Zero 2, probably try to fit in ZOE 2 as well.

I'm going to keep trying Hitman Contracts until I either enjoy it or snap the disc. Also, Castlevania, Nightshade and maybe R-Type Final.

I'm also going to attempt to play a bit of Syphon Filter: Omega Strain online.

After watching the Arsenal match, played some Counterstrike (and laughed as the AWP addicts try to adjust to the new one second switch delay). I've now started playing Freelancer for the first time. Brilliant so far. Later tonight I'll be back online for some Toca 2.

Not done much gaming yet, but I'll be sitting down with Metroid ZM, Mario Bros. Deluxe, and a cup of tea later. Bloody work, making me miss my games-playing.

TBH I'm more annoyed that I missed Star Trek today.

1080°. Completed it a couple of weeks back, but I still really like going back for a bit of time-trialling and finding new routes through the more complicated tracks. Lovely.

That reminds me, I need 1 more time trial coin to unlock that last set of boards.

I should give trick attack another go as well, even if it seemed rather gash. :lol:

Some R:Racing tonight I think. Trying to get my 100% completion rate and I currently stand at only 36%. Then later some NHL Hitz 2003 and ESPN NFL 2K4 against a friend where I won't win any of them.

ZM will last you til you've finished your tea then you can play Mario :lol:

Actually, I'm playing through on Hard Mode, a 100% item finding mission, and original Metroid at once, so it might last significantly longer...

There's one TT coin I can't get, but I've given up on it (so technically that means I haven't completed it, but y'know). I've forgotten what the track's called, but the 4th coin involves grinding along some telegraph-wire-things which I have no idea whatsoever of how to get to.

Today I've just been scrolling down the list of vertical shmups in MAME (but this just means the usual roster of Cave, Psikyo and Banpresto stuff), and playing Ikaruga and Border Down on the DC.

I have become worried about the DC though, because on both those games it has frozen up while playing, and it has never given me any trouble at all in the past. It's my now 5-year old Japanese model, and the thought of it dying is too much to bear, especially as I can't possibly afford a replacement for at least a month or two.

Oh, and I've been fiddling away with ePSXe for a chunk of the day, trying to find perfect configs for various games.

I am trying to play 1080 but my copy always crashes at the loading screen for the 2nd race on the normal difficulty in match race mode :lol:
