Episode III.V

Recommended Posts

Sean writes in with this cool report to confirm work on a SW TV Show is most definitely happening:

I asked him about Star Wars' future and he got really excited and told me in thinly veiled comments that it is going to TV (live-action) . He couldn't go into details because he was under a legal contract. So I asked this gentlemen if the show was pre-EP4, he said maybe with a smile, then I asked about Vader, and he had the same response, same with Chewbacca, same with Tarkin. Anyways he said Lucasfilm was really excited about this, and he did mention that there were to be no Episodes 7-9.

We've got more coming this week, but let's just say a TV Show is a definite thing, according to documents being distributed to licensees and marketing people now.

Okay, everyone, on 3:

1..2..3...I have a very bad feeling about this.

On the other hand, if it means more Ian McDiarmid being ace and evil and stuff then cool. Instead of the monster-of-the-week format other shows use, I guess this could have a Jedi-scum-of-the-week format instead. But still...hmmmmm.

but who would you want to be?

I'd be the mysterious shadowy guy who appears randomly saving the idiot main characters, and would make the male characters jealous as all the females would swoon at my appearance :(

I'd be a jedi. That would be enough!

Me, a cloak and a lightsaber. Vwaaashooom.

I'd like to see a series. You can go and sit in the corner and not watch it if you'd like. ;)

It's just another vehicle for more merchandise. Another way to fleece the fans out of money. I went to some collector's event in Milton Keynes yesterday (it was just in the main shopping mall and had lots of famous people - Brad Dourif, Brian Blessed signing autographs) and the sheer volume of absolute merchandisable crap on display was beyond belief. It just pisses me off seeing so much crap, and the thought of just how much shit will come from a Star Wars TV show scares the hell out of me.

Now naturally this won't happen but if the writing duties were handed to some writers with credibility and it was an understated antithesis to the movies it could be good,in the vein of some of the better fan-fic. Sort of like the difference between errrr... Batman the movie and the TV show 8).

It worked for the Young Indy series, why can't it work for this. If it goes to a series chances are that alot of writers would get involved, hopefully some of the extended universe people.

You could have Timothy Zhans Heir To The Empire novels turned into a series, or Michael Stackpoles I Jedi, some of the best books written. Falling that, the Rogue Squadron stuff would be cool. Only problem is that only Mark Hamill really needs the work at the moment, so some new actors for the Han/Leia/Lando parts would be needed. Now that would cause an upset 8)

Just stop getting your Star Wars Y-Fronts in twist and wait until you see it.

No you people don't understand.

IF they commission a tv series then I still have a shot at starring in a Star Wars thing ... don't you see!! It's on my list of things to do, and I must do it.

My mum went to the Brownies with Trisha Biggar, costume designer on the Star Wars prequels. This practically means that I am in Star Wars and that I've seen Natalie Portman's naked body.

I have the link Ctrl+C'd. All I need to do is Ctrl+V right here:

But I don't think I could do that to Natalie, I'm afraid.

You. Utter. Bastard!

I thought I was about to get a new desktop image. Hmmph! 8)

Edit: Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice one ;) (Although It's the picture of Neve Campbell in a white shirt & black undies that's my new desktop  )

Pfffht! I've seen those pics of her aaaaaages ago.....

I didn't say they were new, sunshine. Calm down.

But, yeah, they're mad old. I was still in school when I first saw those PIX.

Copious amounts of wanking ensued, right there, in the newsagent.

That makes no sense at all. Why does the timeline affect the quality\content?

Have you seen the Star Wars Holiday Special? You would hope that the timeline had no effect on the quality of the tv show, I just think you could make a better one using some of the aspects of KOTOR. For example instead of the Star Wars one Master, one Apprentice coda, you have a much more numerous Dark Jedi in the other timeline which could be good.
