Delivered via their official website and snatched up by shrewd 'Net-surfers everywhere mere seconds theireafter, Square Enix has finally revealed the full lineup of games and other media that they will be showcasing at E3 this year. The lineup includes everything Square Enix fans have expected up to this point, but also a couple surprises to keep us on our toes. There may yet be more that the company is waiting to unveil until the show opens - they have a history of doing that - but no one can really be sure until E3 opens.

PlayStation 2

• Front Mission 4

• Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (with Director's Cut extras/features!)

• Fullmetal Alchemist

• Final Fantasy XII

• Kingdom Hearts II

Game Boy Advance

• Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

Online

• Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia (FF XI expansion pack)

Misc.

• Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Mobile Entertainment:

• Final Fantasy

• Dragon Quest

• Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII :)

In any case, the above is quite an impressively diverse lineup for Square, and at the same time there are a lot of strong, big-name games in this list. Obviously, what most of you are wondering right about now is just what this "Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII" thing is, and I'm wondering too. All I can say is we won't know for sure until the show doors open.

Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII? Sounds interesting....

It all seems a tad disappointing to me. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on GBA is just about the only game I would think twice about buying. It's got to the stage where one might expect Square to disappoint, but you'd think together with Enix they might manage to come up with something to raise excitement.

It really is quite ridiculous isn't it? For one thing it's 2004, and another is they're a huge company.

I'm having real trouble playing FFX-2, I can't get 'look at the borders' out of my head. It's a shame. :)

I'd imagine by mobile it basically means the PSP, FF7 isn't really the kind of game you can play on the go though.

Is the PSP actually something that people are going to play on the go anyway?I know it's a portable but if it looks anything like those concept images mine is never leaving the glass display case.

Actually it would make sense for Square to release FFVII or a sequel on the PSP.It's the perfect launch game and it's likely to sell the PSP.Who here would buy one just for a sequel?I know i would.I'm sure it would can sell lots as well.

I for one, would love that, but some of the estimates for the price really put me off, no way in hell I'd pay over £200 for a portable console...ever.

I think you will find that Before Crisis: FF7 is a mobile phone game, NOT PSP. For one thing it is listed with Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest (which are out now on mobile phones) and also last year at the Tokyo game show Square showed off a tech demo of final fantasy 7 for the new DoCoMo mobile phone network, so I would guess they are turning that demo into a full blown game on mobile phones.

Hell YES you should! Front Mission still ranks as one of my favourite strategy RPGs of all time... FM3 came out on the PSX ages ago and wasn't quite so good, oweing to a stupendously heavy storyline, but still had the classic gameplay of the series. It's the one game on Playstation I never finished but keep meaning to go back to.

It's all about turn based strategy ala Final Fantasy Tactics, Vandal Hearts, Shining Force, etc. but with mechs! You can fully customise your party, giving them different coloured mechs, different body parts, names, weapons, the lot! Very fun indeed.

Final Fantasy XII, Kingdom Hearts 2 and a FFXI Expansion? For the first time ever i hope there is at least a little delay before they come out over here as i'm currently struggling under the weight of quality RPG's like FFX-2, FFXI, Dark Chronicle, Mario and Luigi and Neverwinter Nights.

I'll have to resign my position as RPG fanatic if I leave many more of these games unfinished. So much to level-up, so little time... :D
