Only on the cutscenes though... I mean, in my version Vin's head is as round and smooth as the ass of a 9 year old boy.

Same here. In the in game cut scenes, climbing ladders, scaling crates, he's a fucking brilliant character model.

In fact, I actually thought the third person views were triggered cutscenes until I realised you could control Riddick in them and move the camera around.

My face -----> :rolleyes:

see what i mean? It really is appalling. I'd accept it, but there are certain times when he looks amazing, and then at other times he looks shocking.

are you having a fucking laugh.

you are running a game that is up there with doom3 graphics on what amounts to a 700mhz processor combined with a slightly tweaked gforce3.

ok, you`ve got <some> jaggies but jeesus look at the bigger picture ! look at those shadows......the smoke fx......the way your torch lights things properly...

some people are never happy.

It's the shading and other effects that make it look as if the guy with the yellow jacket is less jaggy. If you look closely at the dark lines around his shoulders, you can see it's still low res, but there is loads of different colours to soften it, whereas on Riddick, it's black against brown.

I think.

nope, not at all. You really have to see it to understand. there is a whole world of difference between the two character models.

and sid, i'm always happy

Kerraig, man, for the last time. That is normal. In game talking head cut scenes look a lot jaggier than in game. A lot. In game, all the character models look fine. Have you climbed a crate, used the Nanomed machines or gone up a ladder? The Riddick model is fucking perfect, but in the cut scenes where you talk to another character it suffers from a little tearing and quite a bit of jaggies. I'm playing an original copy as well, not a YARR! version. I don't think there is anything wrong with your version.

I put it down to the fact that the talking cut scenes have just been compressed a little too heavily for some reason, leading to the jaggies you speak of, as when it's rendering it on the fly, it's excellent. It's bizarre, but the game does look worse in the cut scenes.

Yeah i know its normal now, i was just explaining to Horrible that those two guys dont look anywhere near the same quality.

i'm still surprised noone mentioned it before though, and it does happen quite a lot 'in game' too, it aint just the cut scenes (although yeah, the nanomed/ladder cuts are ace). Overall i'd say maybe 60% of the game so far has been in jaggovision. Just after all the praise on the graphics i'm a bit dissapointed. But i'll say no more.

60%?

Fuck, your versions screwed!

No way is it 60% on my copy. Cut scenes and that's it. Shit. 60%!

All the characters are smooth as pie when running in game. I take it back. Screwed.
