So, Metroid DS: will it actually look just like Prime II, or was that a mock-up? It seemed to excite the crowd a bit...

Also: how well will Mario play without analogue controls? As trickily as I imagine GT4 might?

A developer talked about how the new memory format for the games will be the way forward for handhelds (I think). That sounds intriguing; rewritable like the N64 handheld thingy?

Mario Pinball GBA looked fantastic as did the Donkey Konga platform game played with the bongos.

Metroid Prime: Hunters: This amazing first-person battle game uses wireless technology to connect up to four players simultaneously (in the E3 demo version). Each player gets a Metroid suit of a different color, and then tries to destroy the three opponents. Touch the stylus to the bottom screen to rotate the camera, aim and fire, or to transform into a Morph Ball. The game features the same artwork, sound, graphics, architecture and ambience found in the huge hit Metroid Prime.

The guy said that Metroid DS will also be playable tomorrow.

And where the fuck was Mario128?! (I'm too lazy too read through 40 odd previous pages so feel free to take the Delorean out of the garage)

Has everyone seen wario ware DS?I couldn't be bothered going back to check, But apologies if this has already been posted.

One screen isn’t big enough to contain Wario’s greed and ego. He appears on the top screen and drops boxes to the bottom one, where they open an assortment of wild mini-games. Use the stylus and touch screen to drag a net and catch some fish, or to cut a rope to drop a cage around a duck. Players might have to erase or draw pictures, or slice at food that gets thrown at them. Finish as many mini-games in 35 seconds as possible. The game features the same good humor and fast pace that are hallmarks of the WarioWare franchise.

How cool is that

Where was GTA?

Nice conference though, very enjoyable. Kirby stole the show for me, he always does.

Is Metroid DS a full Metroid game or just a multiplayer demo to show off the DS?

C'mon... did you see the reaction it got.... definate DS game I reckon... it'll sell the system on its' own.

Looking at the sm64X4 pics, it seems it displays better graphics than the n64, or at least on par, the first level is shown in one of the pics with what looks like GC polygon count characters, mario, yoshi, luigi and wario on screen at once, with a 3D chain chomp, rather than the 2D one on the N64, it was 2D wasnt it? I know the bomb was.

Just watched the video of the nintendo presentation, theres a link earlier in the thread, ever get the feeling we've been here before?

DS: Second screen for what maps? targetting with your finger or a matchstick while moving the d pad and holding the bugger, hmmm. Rehased N64 and GC games?

Zelda GC: Ocarina of time with more polys, same game play? Lets just brush the new Wind Walker look under the carpet shall we?

More Fzero, More Zelda GBAsp, more GC Metroid, more of the same really.

Miyamoto looked like a tit, a bored one at that who might as well held a sign saying, sod this here's your "mature Zelda" hope you like it. :o

That's not what I meant. I mean: is it just a battle/deathmatch game for 4 players set in the Metroid universe on the DS to show off how the bluetooth stuff and the like work, or is it a genuine complete 10+ hour singleplayer adventure like Metroid Prime or the older Metroids with a multiplayer mode?

Again, I reckon it'll be a full Metroid game but with the multiplayer. It'll sell like hotcakes... especially if they can get it out for launch or soon after.

And it could be online. I think Nintendo might just have won themselves the Nobel prize for aceness....

The accompanying paragraph does just describe it as a demo of the DS though, as opposed to a demo of an actual game...

I'm sure the PSP will be the home of innovative and exciting new titles, without a Lara Croft or Gran Turismo in sight.

Why sell your system on the back of shit noone's heard of, when you can use tried and trusted IPs? Hmmm?
