There are 5 parts on IGN. Two of them are the Kojima demonstration of the demo (it's worth seeing how he feed Snake an there make him vomit), and the rest three are the E3 2004 trailer.

Its ok i guess, not feeling the music or the new setting.

I think the new setting is possibly the best thing about it, being set in the 60's raises all kinds of fantastic new possibilities which have, as yet, been missing from the MGS experience. No radar, relying just on sound and your senses, as it should be, plus night-vision and thermal were in their infancy during this period ( limited to laughably huge devices ) so I'm interested to see how Kojima handles this 'low-tech' environment.

Just waiting for these vids to appear high-res on Gamespot. *Drums fingers*

Otacon, can I take it that you are a fan of the MGS series?. I was until one point (look at my EBAY feedback when I sold my whole MGS collection, username is same as here) and I still have MGS 2: Substance for the Xbox but I have gone off it a bit.

The new elements in MGS 3 sound nice and I'm sure Hideo Kojima will do a great job of it but it seems now that every game wants to be MGS 2. Okay, I guess I am annoyed because I have downloaded this trailer and cannot view it!.

Game of the show, being MGS 3 and all does not surprise me one bit.

I've stressed this on other forums, but it must be said again.

They spent 2 years on the tanker section, and fuck all on the rest.

The tanker section was the best game ever, but sadly it only lasted around 20 minutes. The rest was awful level design, with an awful lead character.

I'm hoping this will recreate the magic found within the PSone version, and then some.

Yeah, I am mad MGS/Kojima fanatic but I am trying to control myself ;)

Yeah, flogged the same way that Mario, Zelda, FF, Metroid etc etc has been.

I'm really looking forward to it, it's going to be ace.

Oh as for flying thingies, they could be super secret mega advanced planes.

My favourite bit was when Kojima gave the journos a telling off for talking while he was talking

The level of integration that they've got with the killing of animals is quite astonishing  And.... OMG!!! Ocelot!!! Sooooooo many questions, I can't fucking wait for this game.

Well if there's a big stompy robot at the end I don't see why there can't be flying machines.

The best way of proving this point wrong is a Back to the Future comparison ( all without the aid of Delorean pics ).

Y'see, when a vital piece of electronics on the Time Machine blew, even though it was actually a microchip the only tech they could replace it with in the 1950s was something the size of a small crate - the technology did exist but minimisation of it had not yet occured, hence that is the reason why a huge, lumbering Metal Gear could get away with being in a late 1960's set game but a small, neat one-man rocket sled could not.

Bloody Kojima, he always has to take it too far ( I expect they will be justified by some lame reference to advanced tech used by The Patriots, or some trite rubbish ).
