Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Jetpacks wouldn't be so bad ( as I'm sure those existed in the 60's, albeit in fairly laughable form ), but these things are like fully-armoured one-man jet platforms, it's stretching belief to say the least.

Alex W, I'm about as sure as I can be, the trailer shows him fighting about nine of them with an Ack Ack gun, so they were close enough for even my myopic vision to make an ID. ;)

It bothers me so much only because the rest of the game looks great.

Oh, well, I suppose it'll fit in with the already-announced boss that summons the undead to fight you.

Yes, you read that right.

It's going to be Ghost Babel all over again- realistic people and motivations, laughable settings and skills.

Well, was gonna say that if that's what Spacehost was referring to, they're obviously not jetpacks, more strange probe-looking thangs.

They look familiar, but I can't quite think from what.

They're definately worth of the term Rocket Sled, though.

Actually, if you look at that picture again (because I personally didn't notice on first glance), there's a guy actually on one of them (the furthest one in the distance, right in front of the moon).

They've all got guys in, and all the guys have guns.

I'm really confused by all these vids, I've downloaded three different ones, the crazy, no game footage one with the Snake Eeeeaterrrrrrrrrrr music, the second was a demonstration of the camouflage being used ingame and the third was the one where he gets caught up in the rope trap with the dogfs below and he bursts out of the water at teh end with the croc head.

Tell you what though, all this Bond-esque music and montage stuff..... do do do do dooooo
Just saw the video- the usual MGS-y characters (including a young version of a boss from a previous game), typically bizzare slant on the technology of the 1960s, and all in all rather exciting-looking.
*scream*

Is it, y'know, him?

Boomshakalakashalashaska!

What are they doing for codecs now, radios? Honkin' big walkie-talkies? A saw some impressions from a hands-on that mentioned a 10 minute cut-scene during a demo...good old Kojima.

Intro?

Oh well. This looks good. Looks better then MGS2. The first hour was good. You know, the tanker. The rest of MGS2 was boring.

I'm really happy with this. Back to the roots ; the jungle. And i love how Kojima showed the game to the press. Alot of jokes. *groar*

That was the worst game trailer I have ever seen.

In fact, where was the game?

About 5 flash screens of it. The rest was some crap music and loads of credits. I have to ask... WHY? How does this prmote your game in ANY way?

Somebody link me to new gameplay trailers please.

Gameplay, 10 minutes or so.

Oh and.. In that trailer you see alot of more gameplay then in 90% of other gametrailers. MGS trailers are always like this. 80% movies and the rest is gameplay without a hud. It has always been so. Do i like it? Yes.

In fact, where was the game?

The bit where Snake swam through the jungle, infiltrated a deralect brick building, climbing up trees and over rooftops, disabling guards through barrels, knocking them over and holding them up?

Didn't you get the videos of Kojima ACTUALLY PLAYING the game, demonstrating how the whole eating animals thing works and the new in-game menus? That was completely in-game.

Wait for the bit where he makes Snake eat loads of animals and then spins him around and around and around and around and around ;)
