(Or just get the rather nice 3 disc vinyl release thats been out for months!)

Can you put them on to a minidisc for me?

Are we talking similar to Amen Andrews here? I need some new music preferably of the type to nuclear attack my ear drums.

Once again Luke Vibert has delivered Rephlex a delectable slice of musical pleasure, which unusually, is singularly dedicated to the delights of disco music.

?I don?t think many people will believe it?s me who?s made it,? say?s Luke.? ?It doesn?t sound anything like me. Just simple disco grooves. It sounds live, but it?s all programmed to sound like old disco.?

It might come as a bit of a shock after the rave-tastic and well received junglist anthems of 2003 as Amen Andrews or the acid-Tinged ?Yoseph? album released on Warp records.

Luke?s inimitable take is stripped down like early house, organic sounding but with a lush glowing contemporary electronic feel, all groovy handclaps, strings, cowbells, horns and creamy basslines, highly addictive and very fresh.

If you?re wondering why the album is called Kerrier District, it?s named after a local council in mid Cornwall where Luke grew up, not a place known for it?s glittering debonair nightlife but it?s a name that sounds well, pretty cool.

I was wondering why my CD order hadn't turned up from Amazon.

About time, I had to download the tracks because I don't have a record playing contraption. Finally, I can play it somewhere other than my computer.

Great album. Some tracks tend to stray in repetitive territory. But definitely worth the buy, if you're a gay discoteque dancer.

The Kerrier District remix on the Black Devil Music Club single is one of the best things I've heard all year so I might just pick this up.

Any Rephlex fans bought the Grime compilation? Mine is still awaiting stock at Play :D

See above posts.. It's still class. The cheeky scamp even uses the some of the same samples from the 'Amen series..

When do we go out for drinks again?

Warp says the release date is 7th June. I'll also be getting this CD

Grime popped through the post the other day. Some of it is sensational - mixture of early 90s rave, ragga jungle and deep deep bass. It's similar to a slower DJ Scud or Panacea. The first track "Stargate" by Mark One is the stand out - I have no idea how you'd dance or rap over this music.

Well, Amazon have delivered, and I like it. Although I think the bulk of the tracks are probably a little too long.

It's a good album though.

Some of the tracks remind me of a Strictly Rhythm compilation I have. Fantastic album though, as I can't stop playing it
