That would be great- you've just finished the challenging "SPOT THE MISTAKE" red-highlighting challenge when HAVE A WANK flashes on the screen in epilepsy-inducing colours, which remain as a background to an animated hand jerking off a poorly drawn marker-pen knob.

If there was a website, I'd love my games (as I'm working on a second) to be used as a promo feature (as Flash is probably incompatible with Blitz)

If ever you make a game worth putting online let us know.

A Discu Stu mini game! In which you have to select which to say/do to impress the woman of his affections. With multiple outcomes!

Does the development folder get enough hits for this to be even noticed my most of the members?

Well, considering the amount of people here, seems not. We don't need too many people, but the games so far have been excellent stuff. <_<

If you asked the whole forum their opinion it would be rubbish.

This sounds like a fantastic idea. Every willing forumite could provide a pic of themselves, and a minigame could be constructed around it!

Idea: Turbo-pedant! 3 short sentences are displayed on the screen, and you must select the one with the factual/grammatical error!

Glad I'm not asking them then, or you.

How about, Mr Do! lady ogling? Maybe? Maybe? No...?

Yeah I'm wholly underqualified <_<

What I was eluding too, is that too much input can be a bad thing. Trust me.

Which is exactly why I said I prefer it in this forum. :BIGROLLINGEYESATYOU:

Ah right I didn't see. In fact I can't even read I'm not qualified for crap.

No. They're amusing little gimmicks, sure, but they're hardly enough to qualify as games. See the Yeti Sports series, or most of Orisinal, for proper Flash games.

Fair enough, but many WW games revolve around the "make single button press at right time" formula:

The Robotic Operating Buddy game

The game where Wario catches a beer glass

The game where you catch the falling stick

The game where you launch off a ski ramp

The game where you jump over the potato on wheels

The Duck Hunt game when you fire when the duck's in your sights

The game where you take a photo of an animal as it flies past

The game where you shake the dog's paws

The game where you catch the toast

The Wild Gunman clone

The rock paper scissors game

The game where you make Wario land on a floating banana

And so on.

I am absolutely 100% sure this is not going to go anywhere. I've seen soo many of these kind of threads and none of them get done. Ever. No matter what the determination of the original poster or organiser, they just don't work. I said these very words to naive idealists on EDGE forums years ago and I'm still waiting...

Sorry to spoil the party. Hopefully you'll prove me wrong

you're probably right you know.. it's the whole "we'll stay in touch" type vibe...

But saying that, lets do it... if someone wants to start, distribute the code etc etc we can all dig in....

"let's go" - as a lemming once said.......

If anything does get started I'll pitch in with a bit of work if I'm wanted! I'm a reasonable C/C++ programmer comfortable with both the DX and GL API's + I can do some ok 3d modelling in Milkshape (well ok for 'programmer art' ).

I'm actually working on a little game at the moment I was thinking about running a little forum challenge with...stay tuned for the hype machine!

I know its not a "real" programming language, but using "the games factory" or even better "multimedia fusion" from www.clickteam.com would be the perfect way to make a game like this.

You could probably make a mini game in less than an hour, or as short as ten minutes if you knew what you was doing (plus if it was a simple mini game).

You could have everyone working on a mini game, and it would be as easy as "sliding it in" to the main game. You could set it up to run for 3 seconds or whatever, if you didnt pass you would lose a life and continue to the next game, or if you ran out of lives you would be sent to the end screen.
