Ladies & Gentlemen: Blade's back

Just watched Blade II on DVD the other day (first time since getting a 5.1 setup, and it was bloody great with that on). It was a long time since I saw it last and it turned out better than I remembered. But I do like both Blade movies. I suppose the second is better, with some great set-pieces. And I love the jaws on the super vampire things, and the way they are tough as nails. And the ambiguity about Whistler the first time I saw it.

Dammit - I knew Vemsie would beat me to finding this link! Foiled again :D

Looks interesting, would like to see a hi-res quicktime of it. I've got to say that it's about time we saw something more than a quick clip and some static screenshots. Well put together trailer.

Enjoyed both the first and second movie a great deal.

Thanks Vemsie!

Whatever. I really liked the fights in Blade II, some of the greatest I've seen in a US movie. Just like Kill Bill (though both had HK fight choreographers working on them).

Only the first 2 (IIRC)fights on blade 2 were done by donnie yen, the rest were done by another guy who's american. I thought they could have been directed and edited better, but the choreography was fine. Good even.

And this movie will kick ass because it has HHH!!!!in it!

In the film. I've read he's very funny in it.

Hmm...

Odd. I'd have never pegged HHH as funny. Oh wait, I guess he was back when he was in Degeneration-X. I suppose I should give him the benefit of the doubt even though he's run the WWE into the ground in recent years through his backstage shenanigans. I used to like wrestling and that big nosed tool made it unwatchable.

As a rule though: wrestlers have no place in movies. Except possibly The Rock and, at a push, Rowdy Roddy Piper in They Live! Still haven't forgiven him for 'Hell comes to Frog Town' though.

That bit where he jumps out of the window at the end (which was presumably CGI) looked pretty flawless. A good omen.

apart from the fact theres no "recoil" or anything... looked wooden as hell..

along with the very clumsy looking fighting...

I don't care I'll be watching it cause Ryan Reynolds is in it and I think he is fucking tops!

I love Van Wilder and Buying the Cow solely for his acting.

Blade one and two are in my collection and both of them are enjoyable action movies. Didn't realise that Wesley was such a prick though.

His company Amen Ra produces the movies so will they be the ones doing the tv series if it goes ahead?
