Consolevania Lives!

Good news, everyone!

The chaps behind Consolevania are taking the plunge. Setting up our own independent production company and purchasing all our own production equipment. The future of Consolevania is assured.

This news means-

1. A Consolevania every month, as regular as your favourite magazines gamesTM and the other one.

2. No need for us to worry about throwing a microphone at the camera. It's our camera and our mike, so we'll break whatever the fuck we want.

3. More time, less stress, and more people involved means that the shows will be more slick, better looking, and have good-looking birds in.

4. Reviews of all the most obscure games, and requests from you lot for whatever stuff you want to see covered.

5. The formation of a proper website, where you can get Consolevania output even when it's not your time of the month.

6. For Legendary, and any other hard of hearing folks, we will be sending them a nice little print-out of all the reviews we've done in text form, so they can enjoy the footage and read the reviews.

7. An American website has come on board to host the shows too. You can download from them at high speed, so access will be easier. (More details on this later)

8. Contact with TV companies is ongoing, but they'd like to see the show grow as an internet phenomenon before they take the chance. Our own production company means that we can try to fulfil this, and also that we will have more control over the project if it ever gets to TV.

9. Game are in a shitload of trouble from Hitler. Believe that.

Once again, thankyou all for your words of support. R, R, M and K (and the others) appreciate all your kind words, and we're glad to be able to promise you that the show goes on.

Happy days, happy days.

R.

How much is this all costing?

You should add a tips and cheats* section.

*Not.

How much is this all costing?

It's costing a shitload of money (debt).

But we want to do other things than Consolevania. (Short films, low budget features and such)

So having our own production company will free us up to do a lot of things we've always wanted to do, although from an accounting point of view it'll be a pain in the arse for me because I don't know how it ties in with my own self-employed self-assessment tax carry-on. But that's my problem.

Yeah. Expensive, but still great news.
