I believe so. No doubt there is a 'rumoured' Xbox version though.

I think this has the potential to be one of the better single-player experiences of the next gen of FPS' but don't like the look of the trading/buying upgrades type stuff. I hate that kind of thing.

I've been following this games development for some time now, about a year and a half, and the game seems to be shaping up to be a good game. I used to think this would make a great game but I'm afraid there will be too much focus on the mutants ( an excuse for having monsters in the game ) an too little on the Stalkers them self. It certainly seems like those blessed with the latest gfx cards will be in for some eyecandy that outdoes what Far Cry currently does best, but the AI seems to be worse than in FC as well as the animation.

I still hope that the developers will get these things right and then, maybe, we will have a sleeper hit on our hands this summer.

At least the mutants in this game have some originality rather than just being monsters that rush you as in Far Cry (for example). The invisible fella and the packs of dog things look novel. Plus, you'd kind of expect mutations in a slightly sli-fi skewed Chernbobyl environment. The anomolies are interesting looking too and could offer scope for some innovatie tactics in a MP game (or the SP for that matter).

It's looking fairly obvious that this game will probably stand or fall the quality of it's A.I. and given the emphasis on non-scripted sequences it's going to have to be the best we've seen so far in a FPS. Having A.I. that can manage the 120 stalkers and their aims and allegiences in the game world sounds like a tricky job but I really hope they can pull it off as the environment and premise are very exciting. The graphics and physics engine look very impressive and this raises concerns over how much of the development time was spent on the graphics as opposed to the real meat, the A.I. given that this is a relatively small development team.

Looking forward to this now after a couple of years of passing interest.

Except in a recent press conference the developer stated it's being pushed back to 2005, maybe next summer eh?
