Since the curry fifty was a flop...

It's time for Vemsie's big request. The Action Movie Fifty!!!

BIGLIME'S ACTION 50

1. Die Hard: Is there anyone who dislikes this movie? Somebody on this forum does, probably. But they're wrong. This is one of the greatest action movies ever made, and one of the first movies to spring to mind when you think of the words 'action' and 'great.'

BIGLIME'S ACTION 50

1. Die Hard

2. Aliens: Horror movie fans look down on it, and this is why- Aliens is an action film. No more, no less. And one of the most exhilarating action rides you could possibly hope to see.

BIGLIME'S ACTION 50

1. Die Hard

2. Aliens

3. Big Trouble In Little China: Underappreciated. Under-watched. And yet there's no better way to while away 90 minutes than spending it in the company of Jack Burton- one of cinema's greatest heroes.

Excellent choices so far BL.

A few drops of fuel to the fire...

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Blade (Horror I know but also a cracking action movie)

The Matrix (and sequels)

Many of the Die Hard rip-offs (Passenger 57, Under Siege etc)

And for old skool action - North by Northwest and The 39 Steps

Keep em comin'...

Fishy

EDIT: Oh before I forget - The Hidden.

Predator. Certainly deserves it's place in the top 3 with Die Hard and Aliens (which are excellent, excellent choices).

Blade.

Dirty Harry

John Woo needs at least a couple of entries. Possibly Hard-Boiled/Hard Target.

Leon.

Seconded. This is definitely a good top 3.

Commando and Running Man are both ace too. And Demoliton man was Stallones last good action movie too, if you ask me.
