This is fucking a the best album of the year by far. Better than TBS and prince and anything else that came out this year. Its not out over here till august but i picked the import up from my local indie the other day. It also comes with a region free dvd which i aint got round to watching yet. been to busy trying to mosh it up with my bad back (im 21 and im falling to fucking bits)

Musicly it carries on from Irony is a dead scene, and it shits on calculating infinity from the heavens.

Go check check chamone it motherfuckers

Are they the ones who throw poo in the crowd?

When I saw them open for System of a Down a couple of years ago someone through a water bottle at the singer (because they were shit (note past tense)), which he promptly pissed in and threw back.

It's just not Sigur Ros, eh?

Was that at the brixton Academy? They were so NOT shit that night. the crowd just couldnt get their head round it is all. I was there primarily for system but left after four songs cos after Dillinger they just looked geriatric.

Yeah, it was at Brixton. To be fair, I was only little at the time and it was one of my first gigs so maybe I couldn't appreciate them. Either way I just couldn't hear anything remotely likeable in what they played and the fact that hardly anyone in the crowd was getting into them confirmed their shitness for me. So with all the praise they're getting here, have they got a lot better or are they just too hardcore for most?

No they havent got better. That was them at their pinnacle in my eyes. As patronising as it sounds, Dillinger new they'd make very few new fans on that tour. Nu-metal fans simply cant get their head round the complexity of SEP's music. Pompous? yes True? Absolutely.

Granted, the woeful sound that night meant that the intricacy was lost, but performance wise system were simply no match (and I was there primarily for system)

Congratulations, you know how to appeal to my musical vanity. So i just put them into Limewire and downloaded "When good dogs do bad things". You're right, they sound very good and more to the point like exactly the kind of thing I wouldn't have appreciated in my nu-metal days. Could you reccomend anything else before I decide whether to buy one of their CDs? My favourite metal bands are Tool, Dream Theater and Sikth, if that helps. Cheers.

Miss Machine is very very SikTh, not in the story-telling way, but you'll see if you listen.
