Is Banjo Tooie rare?

Recommended Posts

Been playing Banjo Kazooie a lot recently (my youngest son likes it), and thought I'd have a look out for Tooie. eBay prices seem very high - is it a rare game? No obvious puns, please.

Yes it quite hard to find at a sensible price. You are looking at about £30 for a nice example boxed and complete.

Its pretty much more of the same, the characters can spilt though - am playing through it at the moment.

Regards

It was one of the last N64 games, which makes it fairly hard to get.

Having said that, it's a Rare game, which I would have thought was expected to sell reasonably well, so would have been produced in large numbers compared to most N64 games.

It goes for fairly high prices, so it must be a bit rare though.

Followers of the "Car Boot Finds..." threads will know I picked one up a couple of weeks back, unboxed but only £1. First time I've come across it in about 6 years of booting! One of very few decent UK PAL releases I have been waiting to get for my collection - still need a Paper Mario (Car Boot King, any thing you need by way of a trade???)

Has it even been out 4 years?

If you liked the original, it's worth every penny. Truly breaks down any conceivable barrier in Kazooie and remains enjoyable for the most part. Some things are a bit too broken down, I found it very hard to keep motivated within some of the levels. Not as stright forward as the first one either.

Besides, £30 is still cheaper than it was at release.

Paper Mario is not THAT rare. You can find it about for around 30 pounds if you look in GS and places like that. Never ever go by ebay prices.

Banjo Tooie is hard to get hold of but not rare, 20-30 pounds is what you should be paying for it.

I got a copy, boxed without a manual, for I think about £15 a few years ago from Game.

I loved the original, but couldn't really get into this. The terrible, fuzzy graphics (I suppose like all N64 games) sort of put me off though, unfortunately.

I don't think Paper Mario is that rare. It pops up occasionally in these trading forums and I've seen it a couple of times in Gamestation. But then I have a copy, and it's excellent. The New Tetris is a game I only saw once in a store.

But hasn’t Banjo Tooie some of the best and graphics that was released on n64?

I only rented it ..so haven’t played it that much

..remember I was a bit disappointed ..it just didn’t seem as good as the first one

..but the graphics really impressed me ..I remember it as very crisp and clear to be n64
