Could this be the album that makes me dust off my indie hat and actually buy some guitar music once more? Wannadies are definitely summer music.

Absolutely, summer music at its finest. The Wannadies are excellent - well worth checking out live if you get the chance too.

It's just *such* a good album. I had to order a copy from the states when it came out as it took bloody ages to get a proper release over here.

In fact, I didn't even realise it had been released over here until you lot mentioned it.

Yuri Geller must be singles material.

Eh?

I had to order a copy from the UK as it took so bloody long for the album to be released in the States (about six months after the UK in fact).

Great album though, the Wannadies are a much under appreciated pop band, good to hear they're getting some exposure in the UK again.

It had two releases in the US, one either side of the UK release. You guys actually got it the first time around in 2002, then over here in September 2003, before being re-released in the US in January this year (on Hidden Agenda as opposed to indolent).

Allmusic.com and thewannadies.com confirm this.

Looks like you just missed it the first time around bro <_<

Just a great record though.

Must have been an extremely limited release as I tried looking for it a few months before it had been released in the UK and was nowhere to be found online or in the shops over here. Oh well ;)

I played the single edition of "Hit" yesterday. The only Wannadies CD I have ever bought. I know they've had a few songs on high profile soundtracks though.

Can someone give me a quick discography and opinions/history of the band please?
