Ok, one lucky forumite will feel the warm glow of contentment tomorrow when they find my double-disc concept album extravaganza has dropped through their letterbox and directly into their heart.

I LOVE YOU MAN!

Double CD arrived this morning. I really, really love what you've done with it. Quality idea.

I'll be honest and say that hip-hop takes up something like 85% of my listening time, so I never normally have the time or patience to go through the many other genres and find the hidden gems amongst the mass like I do with my hip-hop (with the exception of Radiohead). For this reason, just as I did with Duncan's last month, I absolutely love your compilation. I really like the different style of music you've put together, and can see that it really must have taken quite some time.

I've listened to both CD's and admire the progressive sound which you've put together. So thanks again; absolutely class.

I'll be posting my CD off tomorrow...

I did what I did last month and just put together some of my favourite tunes which I think sound good in contrast with each other - sorry if it's not your thing (to whoever gets it)... Billy's mix has inspired me to do something different from now on and work on a theme or something, so I'll be doing that from now on.

Thanks again,

10/10

Excellent, I'm glad you liked it - I really enjoyed putting it together. When I came up with the theme I wasn't sure if I'd really be able to pull it off. However, by the time I'd scoured my collection, I found that there were more than enough tracks to fit the bill, so I ended up making it a double-discer. Again, I'm really pleased that you like it, especially as it seems that you don't listen to a lot of that type of music normally.

Okokokokok. I've almost finished my second attempt.

I'm finding myself leaning on what I'm listening to at the moment, and also saving some stuff for future Mixes. When it's not as warm out.

Should be off tommorow, so the recipient should have it for Thursday.

EDIT: Ahah! Excellent. I chucked some of that out. I hope no one quotes me.

Okay, got mine today courtesy of Palo Alto.

Read the note but not the tracklisting - prefer it that way. I got a straight-up indie rock CD. cooooooool!

First few tracks were pretty brave - I always like to hit the listener with a ton of bricks so a nice slow beggining was unexpected.

The Pixies track left me uneasy though and I wasn't sure which way the compilation would turn. Same with the Muse track. Felt that Slipknot were just lurking round the corner.

All calmed down after the Eels track and settled into a nice groove.

Coxon, Stripes, Ash, Concretes: check, check & check - all stuff I like already.

Snow Patrol do nothing for me. A non droopy Eels song - cool. FF sounds like a forgotten Kill Bill OST track, so liked that as well.

Its just played straight down the line, something I could never do. No suprises but enjoyable all the same.

Oh and seriously: this wasn't upbeat stuff. Well not to me
