Johnny Gambler, I've got your CD through - many thanks. I've only had chance to listen to the first few tracks so far, but I should be able to give it a full spin tonight. I'll let you know what I think in due course.

Cool. I've made my excuses already, I'll send you a copy of my September CD, which will be - relative to August - much better.

Ooh, that would be quality – thanks very much. I didn't get a chance to listen to your disc in the end last night, and as I'm still in the office, I doubt I'll be able to tonight either. I promise I'll get to it soon and let you know my thoughts.

Well alright! Yesterday morning through my door arrived a very upbeat album from ukdazs... I havent listened to it properly yet as I had a party to host, but it seems to be a break-beaty hip hop extravaganza, a genre which I keep meaning to get into but never know where to start. Quite a helpful mix already then. All new artists to me (except Bentley Rythm Ace, I recall a single they did ages ago)... I look foreward to giving it a proper listen.

Mine is really good, will post tracks later when I have listened to it a bit more. Not sure who sent me it though....

That was me, cheers. I'll post the tracklisting tomorrow when I get into work.

I've been on holiday for the last week and I still haven't got mine :) Who's doing me?

I'm glad you got it through OK, jonny_rat. Sorry for the lack of any cover, label, track listing or even note! I'll try harder next time!

1. The Modern World - The Jam

2. Suspect Device - Stiff Little Fingers

3. Another Girl, Another Planet - The Only Ones

4. Paradise City - Guns N' Roses

5. Heartbreaker (Live)- Led Zeppelin

6. Why Can't I Touch It - The Buzzcocks

14. Can't You Hear Me Knocking - The Rolling Stones

15. Sweet Emotions - Aerosmith

16. Sunshine of Your Love - Cream

17. Ooh La La - Faces

18. Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution - AC/DC

Some of my favourite tunes on there, especially the AC/DC and Meat Puppet's tracks. Again, not very varied from my this month!

I didn't post up a track listing for my July 'Soul/RnB/funky' disc, so here it is:

The Highways Of My Life - Isley Brothers

Be Real Black For Me - Robert Flack & Donny Hathaway

Trying To Make A Fool Of Me - The Delfonics

Held Down - De La Soul ft Cee-Lo

Anything U Want - Rae & Christian feat. Q'n'C

Hey Love - Stevie Wonder

That'll Be The Day - The Temptations

Here Are The Pieces Of My Broken Heart - Gladys Knight & The Pips

Tell Me What's Wrong - Lynn Varnado

You Keep Me Hanging On - Bonnie & Sheila

My Heart Took A Licking (But It Kept On Ticking) - Millie Jackson

Don't Send Nobody Else - Millie Jackson

California Soul - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell

Love The One You're With - Isley Brothers

Good Feeling - Bettye Scott And The Delvettes

I love the Stevie Wonder songs on here and the funky ending is pretty cool too

I might try something a little different next month, perhaps just do a live album, or openig tracks only.

BTW, Duncun I *heart* your CD. I've listened to it a few times now and it is all good (apart from that bizarre country-tip that is goes off on in the middle). Thanks mate!

<_<

Goddammit. I was gonna put that one on my next CD.

I recently found it through random soulseeking. Been listening to that song daily. Its not from any of the De La albums is it?

It's from their last Art Official Intelligence album - Bionix. It's great ain't it, it was going to be on a future mix for me too. Download The Art of Noise, produced by The Neptunes, from Cee-Lo's new album. It's awesome.

I love it. I first heard it on the Buffalo Soldiers soundtrack (which is pretty good by the way). jrisgod is right with the album, but it's also on the limited edition version of their singles collection 'Timeless'. The production on it is stunning and the harmonising bit with Cee-Lo and the choir is awesome.

I've bveen meaning to pick up Soul Machine for ages now so thanks for reminding me!

Bloody HELL.

I just went to copy and paste the tracklist in from iTunes, 'cept I pressed clear instead of copy. And I couldn't undo it.

..It's definately been one of those days.
