Just read this on IGN -

Jacques' new remixes will appear alongside the original OutRun arcade tunes from 1986 on a CD that will be bagged with the October issue of the U.K. based XBM magazine (issue #38, which goes on sale in England on October 14th).

CD Soundtrack for everyone... at a price! :)

I'd never forgive another game for the frame rate and catch-up related car bounciness.. but, let's be honest - it really is lovely, isn't it?

Like I said with the demo, the community is also brilliant. Had some world-class banter this evening that (SWEEPING GENERALISATION) you just couldn't get with 12 year old Americans. That could very well be the reason I was playing it for the last four hours, actually.

Funnily enough I know some of those types, the english variety anyway and they don't want to get the game because it looks gay and all you do is drive in a straight line.

Looks like Outrun 2 may be a little haven. As i said when racing earlier even the lobby is relaxing with waves gently breaking.

So Spanx how have you're impression changed from earlier?

So a soundtrack CD and a demo disc all for £6, throw in a Master Chief mouse mat and we have a deal. I wonder if i can just buy the CD and demo disc, also what's on the disc.

Thanks for my first Outrun 2 Live session tonite. Also if you were sending me invites and it looked like i was ignoring them i wasn't. I kept getting "the session is no longer available" errors when accepting an invite.

Woo Outrun 2.

Also everyone is a SEGA fanboy, how can you let this game get away with such bad lag.

Sounds like your DVD drive might be on it's way out.

Yes! I wondered if anyone else was experiencing that - hope its not my DVD drive,all my other games run fine... it sort of stutters in time with the music, but slightly out of sync?

Apart from that though great fucking game - one quick question - how do you unlock the bonus tracks, i'm know the answer's in this thread somewhere, but theres no way I'm trawling all the way back through it!

Just go through the mission mode and you'll gradually unlock tunes, cars, reverse versions of the normal stages and the bonus stages.

could you imagine how good this game would be without the extreme lag in big matches?

i don't like the fact that i let Outrun 2 off.

hopefully the downloadable content would add different online modes. any chance?

I live near Croydon.. somehow I thought I'd pre-ordered it but checked last night on Play.com to see where it was, to find out I'd forgotten to :unsure:

MVC has it for £32.99 and Virgin at £34.99, well in Leicester anyway.

Yeah, exactly.

I too hope it's not the drive. I'm trying to save up and having to spend over 100 quid to replace something which I've taken excellent care of since I bought it wouldn't make me very happy. :unsure:

Amazon are usually pretty good at getting pre-orders out but they've dropped the ball on this one. Beertiger: if it's all the same I'll decline your kind offer (according to Amazon's delivery estimate it should be here early next week, and I'd like to get some practice in before the meet).

Having the same thing here. IT's like when you donwload a .avi and you've not got the right codec, every couple of secs it chugs along.

I've only had my Xbox 10 months.

Friggin' Thommo drives. Bet it stops working on New Years Day

Anyway, the Game: It's getting better. Good fun, really.

Yeah, that happens to me too. Very strange.

Anyway, cheers to SOL for solving the mystery of the missing split-screen mode, it all make sense now!! You've made a wonderful game, so don't let niggly people like me get you down!

LIVE seemed empty last night, at least on Optimatch, and none of my friends were playing. Hopefully that'll change soon!
