The thing is - It's not as if you're sending your cds to the same people, so I'm thinking why bother worrying about what's on it and just sending the same one out every month? ;)

Hey, nobodys stopping you B)

I like making them though - and it always ends up being a mixture of stuff Ive just started listening to myself and some really old stuff I havn't listened to in ages.

"Worrying" about it isnt the word but, yes, I probably put too much effort into mine each month but,....meh.

That's the UK bonus track off Sing the Sorrow, innit? It's weird; that's by far my favourite song on the album (well, But Home is Nowhere is anyhow..).

Yeah it is. I could of stuck a couple of extra tracks on there but its a fucking good song. And I wanted a sort of ghost track on it. Id like to do one at the start of the cd (where you have to search backwards) but I dont know how to.

OK, my CD for this month will be sent tomorrow.

It's not the best CD I've ever made, by a long distance: I couldn't decide what to put on it, so used a method that was a little too much concept, and ended up with... well, it's not a complete mess, and I think I've done well considering, but it's not perhaps bands I would have chosen to put on a mix CD and not the tracks by those bands I would have chosen either.

Also, I messed up the making of it, so the ends of tracks 4, 8 and 9 are a bit screwed up. It's better than my first attempt though, which screwed the whole CD up :(

I've put in a copy of my August CD (which I was pretty happy with) as an apology, but the person who gets it should comment on the September one (obviously).

Got mine, and it bloody fantastic.

Starts off all indie sounding circa 96 maybe, goes a little heavier and then comes back all folky. Recognised maybe some elastica, suede and a couple of super furry tracks there.

Mostly interested in the folk tracks you put on (yes you, whoever it was, I can't remember). Don't have a clue who they are but they were very good. Sounded very americana. Track 11 was the best, very basic but went great with the rain I had today.

Track 14 was interesting too - sounded a bit REM-like but I bet it could be someone pretty naff.

Track 6 - not a clue, but I love that organ.

A couple of songs I didn't like much but in the context of the album they work fine. Love it!

Tracklisting pleeeeeease!

I got mine today (KOAM), pretty class it is too. Downbeat with a strong political undertone, loads of quality stuff - quite similar to my usual tastes. The only tracks that I'd heard before are Mr Lif's Earthcrusher and DJ Shadow's Organ Donor (I recognise the Roots Manuva track from somewhere, it sounds like it's produced by Amon Tobin - really bassy).

Stuff I really liked - Track 2 (Brave New World), sounds like Lil' Jon gone Def Jux with some 100mph rapping. Track 4 is in a similar vein too, arrythmic drums and interesting lyrics. There appears to be a British hiphop middle section which is class - never heard any of the tracks before but they're quality, especially track 9. Track 12 is awesome too - the main theme from Reqiuem for a Dream soundtracking some intelligent hiphop.

Tracklisting please!

Cheers to Looper - got mine a couple of days ago and just been listening to it.

I really like the way the album starts out with the Intro and then Har Mar Superstar (who I've just been getting into). There's lots of new material on here for me from artists who I've heard of but not heard a lot from, so its always nice listening to new stuff from them. I especially like the last half of the album, with the small hip-hop section at the end really fitting in well with the overall sound of the CD.

I really need to get more Aim stuff, and funnily enough I only just downloaded that Peanut Butter Wolf track a few days before your CD arrived. I also really liked that Prefuse 73 song, so I've had a look on Amazon and added two of their albums to my wish list.

So I think your CD was a massive success in my opinion. It sounds great and it made me look into loads more stuff that I shall be pursuing very soon.

As for my CD, it has yet again been finished, but can still do with a small minor tweaks before finalising it and burning it. The recipient can expect it probably next week. It'll be uploaded to this board soon after this months CD Club has ended.

Did wonder if it was some new bands doing folk or the proper traditional stuff. Glad you didn't put the tracklisting with the CD because my preconceptions would have certainly got the better of me, and I would've mentally turned off.

The Lemonheads eh?

Person sending mine- if you've not sent it yet, please don't send for another week or so! Moving! I'll PM Jimmy the details to pass on now, if he doesn't mind.

Person I'm sending to- it's almost done, but it'll be a few days before I get round to finishing and sending it. Apologies :)

Haven't recieved mine yet

Got mine (x2) and accompanying essay from Paradigm. Have only listened to the first track so far.

I haven't even started compiling mine yet. I'm fixated on a certain theme but unsure as to whether I have sufficient relevant tunes. I'll have a proper crack at it this afternoon (beats working.)
